Birchbox December 2015 Review + Coupon Code

The Birchbox theme for December 2015 is Home for the Holidays. Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription box. You’ll get at least 5 items every month (I often get more) to try out and see what you love. Birchbox is $10 a month, plus you accumulate points after reviewing the items in your box! You’ll get 10 points per item reviewed, and 100 points are equal to $10 in the shop.

The information card gives brief details on each item. I feel that it’s quite odd they do not mention the theme anywhere on the card.

Serge Normant Dream Big Instant Volumizing Spray ($10) This adds a lot of volume to my hair, so I was happy to pick it as my sample choice! I am always looking for more oomph in that area!

Coastal Scents StyleEYES Palette in FormalEYES ($1)  Alas, choosing the volumizing spray didn’t exempt me from the eyeshadow. However, this eyeshadow formulation was actually pretty nice and the colors were much better than the Winter Essentials box!

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil ($3) Love the smell on this one!

Lighting Crew by The Beauty Crop  ($18) A great highlighter with a champagne tint. It includes antioxidants derived from pineapples and green tea. FYI – this is smaller than a tube of lipstick,  although it is still a full size product – you need very little!

Soap & Paper Factory Shea Butter Hand Cream (? Not in the photo and I’m not home! ~$4) This was actually the only new to me product in this box! The green tea scent is nice, and it’s strongly scented!

I wasn’t exactly itching to review this box, as it consisted of a lot of repeats for me. However, it included a full size item, plus the pricey Serge Normant! The value was around $36, which was really great. Birchbox is so inexpensive and with the points rewards for reviewing your box items (I got back $5 in points this month) it’s kind of silly not to get this one!
