And indeed – a total harvest – This box packs in SO much!rawbox october 2015 IMG_0514

Davids Premium Natural Toothpaste ($7.95) This was the first item I opened and my first thought was YES TOOTHPASTE! And I was even more excited that it included a toothpaste squeezer tool! This is a fluoride and SLS whitening toothpaste that is 100% natural.

Humble Brush ($5.99) And a toothbrush! Not just any toothbrush, a bamboo one (it’s sustainable) and it’s purple, too! This is a buy one give one product, too.

Living Raw Darkest Cacao Truffles ($4.52) These are just wow! They’re handrolled and super creamy with the outsides studded with cacao bits. Totally amazing. Prepared at raw temps to preserve all the superfood goodness of the chocolate.

Ello Raw Cinnamon Sugar Donut Dessert Bites ($4.99) I truly do not understand how these actually tasted like donuts. The texture is not similar at all but they look like donut holes.  They contain only organic/raw cashews, walnuts, dates, cinnamon, nutmeg, and coconut palm (and the sugar is only on the outside). They were nice and nutmeggy – and a fresh nutmeg taste at that.

Two Moms in the Raw Wow Cacao Nib Nut Bar ($3)

Two Moms in the Raw Cacao Almond Nut Butter Truffle ($4)

These two bars are kosher, organic, gluten-free, and non-GMO, and provide a boost of antioxidants and protein with two different combos of cacao and nuts (sprouted almonds to be precise!).

Pure Planet Cacao-Mint Spirulina ($3.20) This is a much more palatable way to get spirulina into your diet (green algae). It contains lots of proteins and antioxidants, and I’m thinking you could make chocolate mint fake ice cream with bananas? Just sayin.

Solay Superfood in Sacred Strength ($2.10) This is mostly brown rice and hemp protein, but it also has some interesting ingredients like maca root and Ashwaganda, turmeric, and dandelion, and all other sorts of superfoods and phytonutrients. This brand uses organic and wildcrafted ingredients from around the world, and it was an unusual protein powder!

Skout Black Pepper BBQ Raw Pumpkin Seeds ($3.99) I tried these out recently and they’re not very strongly flavored – which may be a good thing! They are super high in protein, and as usual, I eat them on my cottage cheese (obviously not OK for the target market of this box – but I liked everything in here, which is saying something!).

Rhythm Superfoods Kool Ranch Kale Chips ($5.77) SO good! No dairy of course – the kale chips are roasted with vegan ranch dressing made with sunflower seeds and tahini.

rawbox october 2015 IMG_0520

Coconut Almond Cave Butter ($9) A raw and organic coconut almond blend – it’s unsweetened, so for my personal tastes I would probably add this to something a little sweet – probably chocolate!

rawbox october 2015 IMG_0522

Juvo Shaker Cup ($5.99) and Juvo Raw Green Protein ($3.50) This protein is made with brown rice, millet, quinoa, amaranth plus hemp and flax and more spirulina! It has the benefit of having a complete amino acid profile, and it’s kosher too. It has fiber from foods (no fillers) so there’s a lot of staying power. I was actually really impressed that it was kosher – it’s not a label I see often on protein powders.

What a great preview! The salad looks totally fabulous. They aren’t 100% raw food (optional chicken strips) but this looks so good that I’m going to have to make it.

This is a really fantastic box – and an amazing healthy food and snack subscription box even if you aren’t a raw foodie. I think absolutely everything is appropriate for all vegans, vegetarians, celiacs, etc – basically all special diets except for nut allergies. I loved that this box included toothpaste and a toothbrush too! I really recommend this box if you’re looking for plant-based food and lifestyle items!
