Little Lace Box is a fun and unique bimonthly subscription box for women. Every box is hand-curated around an unusual theme and contains beauty, lifestyle, and home products that you will love! It’s one of my favorite boxes because it’s so themed – it’s like getting an experience in a box. I feel challenged to live up to the expectations of my LLB boxes, if that makes any sense. They recently started up Serendipity by LLB, meant to come in the interstitial months, which is now available for $10 bimonthly.
I really love the crisp and clean new look for this subscription. I think the new branding not is nice and modern.
The look extended to the curators letter and the information booklet. Much easier to read.
The booklet gives the details on all of the items.
All of the items in the October box.
Tea Forte MintTeas ($2.99) and Tea Forte Tea (Sample)
Although I don’t typically drink tea (ever) I have had the a terrible cold this week, so I made a cup at my hotel. I am not sure if I will ever drink tea again and I only had a few sips but I sure did like it in my fever-addled haze so I may try this one. I really love the taste of yuzu!
These little mints are flavored with tea (plus lime and mint!) and tasty and of course you can store the tin right in your clutch. I like tea-flavored things in general and I liked this. I don’t know why I like tea flavor and not tea!
Fall Pashmina ($32) The color I received on this item is absolutely gorgeous. It must be “amethyst orchid”. I rarely if ever get the color I want from a variation and I felt like I won twice with this box because I also got the right lip color.
I am not sure about the 100% pashmina tag. The FTC says pashmina tags shouldn’t say 100% pashmina, because it’s an ambiguous term.
But I do sure like the color of this scarf. LLB says pastels are the trendy thing for fall. I didn’t expect a pastel color, but I love it. I will probably wear it more once we’re solidly into winter.
Is it obvious who took this photo? Clearly my husband thought taking a photo of face primer and a perfume flask together was a great idea.
Before I get to the OFRA, there is something to point out – this box contained 3 OFRA products. This is what Little Lace Box said:
A primary focus for LLB is #womensupportingwomen. That is why we feature unique, hard-to-find products and up-and-coming designers and entrepreneurs. We’re excited to feature in the October box, Ofra Gaito’s quality line of beauty and skin care products. She has a fabulous story and were proud to be a part of bringing select pieces of her line to you this month. Read more about Ofra’s story here: http://www.ofracosmetics.com/pages/about-us
OFRA Absolute Face Primer ($35) This face primer is one of those primers that really does work! I tried it about a year ago and it helps makeup stay put! It even works well with BB creams, which can sometimes be tricky.
Travalo Skyline Portable Fragrance Decanter ($24) This is a really cool product. You remove the sprayer piece to your perfume and fill it from the bottom. I found a demo video here if you want to check it out:

I love the deco look to this travel decanter and it’s a really nice way to take your favorite scent with you. It holds up to 65 sprays and it isn’t messy to fill – I tried it out!
OFRA Eye Gel Primer ($19.50) I use eyeshadow primers regularly – I think the colors generally look better and it does help reduce fallout, color transfer, etc. They really work and so does this one. The gel consistency really made the colors I used with it pop.
OFRA Liquid Lipstick (Rio) ($19.99) This was sent out in two colors, and I was happy to get this one, because it is a pretty berry color and perfect for my skintone. It’s super creamy and long lasting.
I have totally mixed feelings about getting three products from one brand. On the one hand, we’re always looking for something new, and I’ve received a lot of OFRA products from Little Lace Box recently in Serendipity, so I feel like I’ve tried this brand out and wanted something different. On the other hand, these were three totally different products and I liked them all, so who cares? I try not to overanalyze boxes too much. I wish this box had been a bit less beauty focused and more focused on finding new artisan makers like all my other LLB boxes, but then I considered their statement and this brand is like their artisan of the month. It wasn’t a wow box for me, because I do already receive loads of beauty boxes, but the average person that gets subscription boxes has 1-3, so I’m not terribly concerned that the October box was beauty heavy. I feel like the December box will be completely different and I’m super excited about it. You can check out the December Little Lace Box theme spoilers here (and I believe November 10 is the last day to grab one).
