Marimo Candy Club is a newer monthly Japanese candy subscription box. Every month you’ll get a box loaded with new and exciting Japanese and DIY candies and sweets.
The box came with a short note from Marimo Marshmallow, the store that owns the box. They make videos for all the kits so you can follow along.
You can just type in the URLs and find the videos!
This box was totally packed full! I’m not sure how long it took to arrive, but it was delivered through an alternative courier (maybe DHL?) and I had no problems receiving it.
Everything in the box – this was a really big box.
Meiji Cotton Candy Gum: I totally expected this one to be like poprocks, because I have had that cotton candy before and the packages are similar, but it’s gum! You can’t really blow a bubble with the amount I ate, but you might be able to if you cram the entire thing in. This was really a fun experience!
Meiji Fruit Gummy: Pick each grape (some are flavored grape, others are muscat – and they have a really natural taste!) off the melon vine! I love how fun this one was without doing anything.
Halloween Yokai Watch Pocky: Beloved Pocky! This is a special edition from a popular anime just for Halloween. These ones are chocolate cookie sticks with basically a chocolate version of cookies and cream.
Neri Strawberry Soft Candy: With this simple DIY you mix up the powder and water and spoon it into the sugar cups for a tasty “ice cream” treat!
Mini Candy Apples: With this kit you’ll be making mini candy apples. Out of candy. And then coating them with candy, and candy sprinkles. It’s blowing my mind.
Halloween Tirol Chocolate: The Pumpkin Biscuit was exclusive for Halloween! Each has a biscuit center and is coated with either a milk or pumpkin flavored white chocolate!
Meisan Pachi Pachi Panic: Cola popping candies mixed with ramune fizzy tablets. I loved this! It mixed sweet and sour and two physical sensations in your mouth.
With this DIY you’ll make “ice cream” that you can squeeze out of a pastry bag onto little tart wafers and other wafers. The back of the box even teaches you how to how to make the swirl.
Even though this has a lot of directions, you will probably need the video for this one!
Oekaki Gummy Land: This is a DIY gummy kit, which my kids are going to flip over.
The palette is used to mix all the colors to shade your gummies with.
Kracie Happy Kitchen Hamburgers: This is too much! You mix the powders for the buns, burgers, cheese, fries, and cola, and nuke them.
Then you make the packaging for your finished “food” out of the bag! You don’t nuke the cola though – that fizzes into an actual drink!

This Marimo Marshmallow video has been watched 6.5 million times.
Lotte Halloween Koala no March: Everyone’s fave koala cookie, Halloween style! Look at that sweet koala with fangs!
The Halloween theming went all over the package and you could actually use it to make a mask.
And the cookies themselves were themed – the one on the bottom is holding a pumpkin. Uusally I let my kids take the koala cookies but I ate every single one of these and they were delicious.
This box was totally crazy in a good way. I don’t know if I have ever seen so many Japanese DIY kits in one place (and I am thinking to myself I would be totally overwhelmed in an entire store of them). I loved the theming of this box and the little Halloween treats, and the non DIY candy was absolutely fantastic!
