Level Up by Loot Crate October 2015 Review #lvlup

Level Up  is a newer monthly subscription from Loot Crate to get great new geek and gamer premium wearable accessories themed along with the current Loot Crate theme. There are 3 options: 2 pairs of themed socks for $9.9, 1 or 2 fashion accessories for lady looters (hairbow, cosmetics, jewelry) for $14.99, and a wearable item like a premium shirt or hat for $14.99.  Unlike their beta month, You can purchase Level Up separately now – and the wearable items (the shirts/hats/etc) are available in ladies’ sizes. Oh one more thing – I haven’t really been sure about the spelling on the name of this box – is it Lvl Up or Level Up? The Hashtag and branding uses LVL Up, the site says Level Up, who knows!

We paid closer attention to the spoilers this month and we were going to skip Level Up entirely, but they released a $5 off the socks subscription coupon. That was a great deal so we couldn’t resist.

Biioworld Spiderman 2099 Socks – Exclusive: These feature the logo of Miguel O’Hara a geneticist who attempts to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man.

Bioworld Albert Einstein Socks – Exclusive: Everyone loves some good Einstein gear! These were a little odd, because they didn’t have a heel, but they had the color for the heel. Actually the stitching does pinch in a little there, but they aren’t like the regular Bioworld socks at all. I’m sure it’s because of the special dye printing! These are cool.

I did have a lot of (valid) criticism last month about the spoilers (released on the first day of the month, so you have a day to cancel if you don’t like them). This month the spoilers were released on the same day as the Loot Crate theme, which was a big improvement. I’m not interested in any of them, so I canceled online. I really don’t recommend subscribing for a multi-month subscription unless you love every franchise – because you cannot skip a month.
