disney park pack pin trading october 2015 box

Disney Park Pack: Pin Trading Edition is a monthly mystery pack from the Disney Store.  Every month in this subscription you’ll receive three official Disney pins – 2 open edition (released to subscribers before they’re made available to the public) plus a totally exclusive limited edition pin.

This is the first box in the new Park Pack subscription! This isn’t a new box but it finally went to a subscription.

These are the Park Pack pins for October 2015. Disney Pins are the perfect souvenir – small, not too expensive, and fun to collect.  There’s no information card for this box, and just like every other month, I wish they’d include a curator’s note – maybe with names for these pins!

The backs of the pin cards show the prices for the open editions, but not the exclusive limited edition pin, because it won’t be sold anywhere else.

Olaf! My kids were totally thrilled with this and laughed over and over at the “all my best friends are flakes” joke! I love the little crystals inside the snowflakes.

I am not sure what use one hitchhiking ghost is. The limited edition pins in these have usually been either a color variation, or now more frequently a “progression” where you need to trade for all four. I am going to have to sell or trade this one because it’s a little meh – but maybe valuable to someone trying to finish the set? This wasn’t a progression – I think there were 3 pins with each a different ghost, and 1 pin with all three. Obviously the subscribers who received all three have a very valuable pin – and I think that’s cruddy.

The Limited Edition pin has four variants of a similar design or theme; each of the variants has an edition size of 750 (formerly 500).  A different Limited Edition pin may be available in each box.

This wasn’t our favorite box but we loved Olaf. We just spent a week at Disney World and participated in pin trading while we were there. My daughter was really into it and I totally scored a SWEDISH CHEF PIN!!! I basically won Disney World last week.

I agree this is a meh box. I do love Olaf but the ghosts one is weird. I guess since it is the October box getting a Halloweeny one was cool but something with the characters in costume would have been way cuter.
