stitch fix october 2015 box

My Stitch Fix for October was so amazing – full of versatile pieces that had just the right style and color for me for going into fall! Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).

stitch fix october 2015 unboxed If you’re a Stitch Fix regular, I also suggest checking out Wantable Style Edit too! It’s very similar but the clothing is totally different.

Everything always comes wrapped so neatly!  It makes it really fun to open! I saw that my October box had basically all my favorite colors.

stitch fix october 2015 card

Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately!  I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!

Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).stitch fix october 2015 review

stitch fix october 2015 Renee C Zalia Dress Renee C Zalia Dress ($48)  This was an unusual dress – not as in weird – but a great basic dress with a chevron pattern that’s knit/woven in and not printed. I find it extremely attractive and everything was right about this dress – including the perfect alignment of the chevron in the center.

stitch fix october 2015 41Hawthorn Concord Striped Draped Pocket Cardigan

41Hawthorn Concord Striped Draped Pocket Cardigan ($58) I was absolutely thrilled with this cardigan! I have a similar one from last year (from Stitch Fix) that I completely adore and I loved his one just as much! I am very much a layer-er and I will wear this all the time. The length and design of the front keeps it really neat looking and I love the pockets.

stitch fix october 2015 Pink Martini Arsuk Wool Jacket Pink Martini Arsuk Wool Jacket ($128) This is a warm and cozy wool coat with such a great lining. Stitch Fix has been sending out coats and jackets this month and I was really excited to see one in my Fix. Unfortunately I couldn’t live down the remarks from my husband that it looks like the Plated jute insulation. Really, it’s only him.

stitch fix october 2015 Sweet Romeo Crater Cowl Neck Knit Top

Sweet Romeo Crater Cowl Neck Knit Top ($58) More perfection. My stylist found me a shirt in my favorite color with one of my favorite necklines. The fabric texture retains a lot of interest with the dimpled pattern and the shirt itself is comfy and cozy.

stitch fix october 2015 Papermoon for Stitch Fix Edlynne Dress

Papermoon for Stitch Fix Edlynne Dress ($64) Oh this dress was really wonderful. I was excited when I picked it up because it already has long sleeves.  The button front offsets the length of the sleeves really nicely and the print is dainty and keeps it from being just another black dress.

Win, win, and more win! Updating my wardrobe for fall happened in minutes instead of hours and I loved the pieces my stylist picked out for me! They are perfect transitional pieces into fall Looking back over the past year or so I feel that the quality of each piece has really improved, and I’m excited about Stitch Fix collaborating with brands like Papermoon to produce pieces just for subscribers!
