I was excited when my Geek Me Box came for September. It was a few days late and I was sort of missing it! Geek Me Box is a mystery geek and gamer monthly subscription box, with 5-8 items and an epic shirt guaranteed. This is a really excellent subscription and I have really enjoyed watching them evolve over the last few months.
The September theme was Breaking Bad, Deadpool, and Pokemon. This month again featured a custom outer box and everything seemed packed more neatly – but no tissue or information card. It amuses me that this box has different packaging every time.
Everything in the September 2015 Geek Me Box.
Hasbro – Marvel Studios Thor The Mighty Avenger Lightning Clash Thor ($8) This guy is a few years old but he’s pretty awesome! YOU PRESS HIS HEAD AND HIS HAMMER LIGHTS UP!
Bahaha we couldn’t show it here but we’ll totally do a video! I love Thor! It was nice to see an item from a major toy manufacturer in a subscription! Like… if there was a Fisher-Price Imaginext subscription we’d be all over that.
Pokemon Black Edition Sticker Book ($4.49) This sticker book features Pokemon from the Unova region and there are holo stickers too!
Chikorita the Leaf Pokemon Keychain ($3?)
Awwww it’s so cute! Like a loveable puppy!
Some of the stickers were full page!
Gears of War: Judgement Ruled Journal with Pocket ($17.87) This is a really nice item! It has a full-color spread and pocket, acid-free paper, and a lay-flat design.
I was impressed with this item, and it’s a great one for gamers!
Dead Pool & Breaking Bad Mashup Tee ($15) The curator of this box is very clearly a Dead Pool fan – he shows up pretty frequently. Each of the characters is saying a catchphrase from the opposite franchise. This is a good mashup because it’s still funny even if you know nothing about the other or either one.
This is a box I look forward to. It’s not the flashiest box, but it’s really solid and has a different perspective than the other geek boxes – plus there’s always a shirt! It had around $48 in value, which was pretty excellent, and was another solid entry in this subscription. One of the things I like about this box is that it seems right for us as a family without being too juvenile – both adults & kids can enjoy it!

OMG if they had an Imaginext box we would totally be all over that. My boys have so much and are always wanting more.
I haven’t tried this one yet but it’s on my list! They’ve all looked pretty good.
