Petit Vour Subscription Box Review – October 2015

Petit Vour is a vegan beauty subscription box. For only $15 per month you receive up to five cruelty-free beauty and grooming samples.

Habit Cosmetics Nail Polish in Deep Sea ($18) This is a gorgeous cobalt blue! This brand is 5-free, vegan, and uses myrrh in its formula to naturally strengthen nails (and serve as an anti-fungal, too!).  It uses a bamboo overcap to reduce the amount of plastic used, too!

Hana Organic Skincare Eye Oil ($18) This is made of certified organic jojoba oil, rosehip seed oil, Vitamin E, and rose essential oil. When I applied it I didn’t really notice that the scent was rose, which is fine by me!  I found it extremely soothing and nourishing for my poor eye area – which I haven’t taken care of the last week. I will use this all up!

 Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash ($6) This is a first for me for this brand in a women’s box, but I’m super familiar with it because I think it’s in at least a full third of my husband’s boxes! This is a nice foaming gel face wash with a woodsy/bright scent from cedar, spearmint, lime, lemon, rosemary, black spruce, owyhee, vetiver and lavender essential oils. I’m excited to finally try it (he says it’s really great – but I wouldn’t dare touch his precious products!).

Essence of Vali Sleep – A Bedtime Ritual ($1) Just one drop on or near your pillow to help you sleep! I think I’m going to nab one of my husband’s many pocket squares and place it on one and tuck it inside my pillow (I’d place the square in the secret pocket of my new satin pillowcase but I am making my daughter use it in an attempt to tame her hair overnight!). Made of essential oils of lavender, marjoram, cedarwood & ylang/ylang.

The total value of this box was about $43, which is around a three times the value to price ratio, which is fantastic for any beauty box, not to mention a vegan one. I’m always impressed with what I get in my Petit Vour boxes and I was again this month! I was a little surprised to find that the only cosmetic was nail polish, but I didn’t mind that at all, because everything else was so fabulous, and definitely needed!
