Peaches & Petals is a newer monthly lifestyle subscription box of fun flirty and fashionable vintage-modern lifestyle items that exemplify the woman who’s not afraid of adventure – open-minded, free-spirited, and loves relentlessly. Get 3-5 beauty and fashion accessories, beauty samples, and more in your box. My October box did not come in the black box that I received last month.
There was an inner box holding cosmetics.
The information card has the details on each item.
There was also a spoiler for a cute scarf for November 2015 – it’s cute (FYI right now you would still get the October box when ordering).
Everything in the box for October.
Elizabeth Arden Tote ($40) This is a fun rain slicker style tote! I like the color combo and it’s nicely made, though the retail value is too high. I think this is perfect for some fun color on rainy fall days.
You can switch it around too for a different color. This was a GWP item from Macy’s. Thanks Jennifer!
Anne Taintor Magnetic Postcard ($2.99) I love Anne Taintor and it’s always something hilarious. I also personally enjoy how this formerly subversive collage art has basically become mainstream.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish in Vigorous Violet ($3.99) I am not sure if everyone received this fun purple color but I think it’s perfect for nail art for Halloween! Love that it’s quick drying.
Barielle Pro Essentials Skin Care White Tea Antioxidant Moisturizer ($7.69)
Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio ($14.99) I could tell from the photos (my husband opened the box) that this was either a very old or counterfeit item. I inquired about the item on Friday and haven’t heard back yet. The outside of the container is sticky and obviously degraded. The sticker on the back is not centered. The signature swipe out of the x in the “smashbox” is missing.
I did note that they posted this in response to a comment on their Facebook page, so I did some digging.
The Smashbox appears to be authentic, but very old. This is a screen shot from Temptalia’s Holiday Makeup Guide from 2007. They likely didn’t respond to me because I did accuse them of sending out counterfeit product. It doesn’t appear to be fake – just quite old. It’s totally fine to source closeout and inexpensive products and I was happy with everything else.I think they could have sourced some Laura Gellar eyeshadow for as much as questionable smashbox and made everyone happy. That being said, the scarf looks great next month, but I’m not happy with 7-8 year old product in a box. I’m not sure when the packaging changed so it could be a little newer than that, but that’s what I found. Here’s another post from 2008 from a different blog showing the same style of packaging with the old Smashbox logo.

I too will be canceling after this month. I tried to give them a shot but last months box, my shades did not have a tag or brand, they looked really cheap like the kind you can buy in the street for $5 or less and I really didn’t care for the box just the umbrella and this months I’m not liking it too much either. I’d rather put those $15 towards glossybox. For everyone else that likes it Great! ?
My eyeshadow was the same with a dirty, sticky exterior. The moisturizer looked the same, plus it doesnt have an expiration, so i have no idea how old it is. I will probably throw it away. This was really disappointing. I will be canceling this box for sure. I’d prefer one quality item to a random grouping of iffy products.
My Smashbox eyeshadow was also smashed….but I received two of the magnetic postcards, so I’ll call it good. Very happy about my first box from Peaches and Petals.
I received all that you did And did not realize, until I read your review, that it was actually an eyeshadow trio because it was completely pulvirized and just looks brown. My container is also worn looking and sticky. Icky.
