Fall, the season, embodies all of those meanings. It’s when the leaves fall down, brilliant as jewels. We fall for nature’s trick of beauty, just before she turns cold and less welcoming. We fall in love with warmer, cozier base notes to stave off the chill. That’s why we chose these three scents for our October unisex collection—and we hope you fall for them, too.

Olfactif October 2015: Fall

• Autumn from Dasein: This is described as a dry, sharp cinnamon, which it truly is. One subscriber had a skin irritation due to the cinnamon and black pepper oil in this scent, and Olfactif promptly sent out a notice, which I thought showed how on the up and up they are. I have always been impressed with this subscription and the people behind it. Anyways, this one smells like a really natural and good-smelling version of potpourri – you won’t smell like potpourri – it’s what potpourri would smell like if it was good.
• Intense Café from Montale: I don’t like coffee and I don’t like the smell of coffee but… this one is my favorite. This bizarre outcome often happens in scents that I receive in my Olfactif boxes. It’s easily my favorite and wears nicely – growing more mellow but retaining a great scent. It’s like a lazy day at a cafe!
• Geisha Noire from Aroma M: This really is a rich (and pricey) scent that changed dramatically several times after application, switching from the strong amber scent, to sandalwood, with a strong smokiness bubbling underneath.

I really love Olfactif’s inspired themes and the scents they match with them. While you might not buy an entire bottle (although you can with your voucher), you’ll be able to have an enriching scent journey each month.  I should also say that I have never had an Olfactif box remind me of one of their previous boxes, they are always very different, unique, and delightful!
