my geek box september 2015 boxMy Geek Box is a monthly subscription of geek goods shipped directly from the UK to your front door.  Each month you’ll get a mystery box filled to the brim with geek gamer and retro gear, including a limited edition t-shirt in your chosen size. Every month they choose a different theme: from zombies, to superheroes, to video games and even your favourite films. It’s not only the theme which changes from month to month, either – each box is unique, filled with a fresh batch of awesomeness.  Because it ships from the UK, shipping costs factor into the overall expense of the box.

The September Theme is Dark Side!

my geek box september 2015 review
Everything in the box.

my geek box september 2015 IMG_0888 2000 AD Rogue Trooper Comic: This comic was obviously produced exclusively for My Geek Box (see shot of back cover below). Hope they bag/board in the future – but maybe it isn’t a thing in the UK?

It appears to be a reprint of 3 stories from the 2000 AD series, but I’m not sure if they’re complete!

my geek box september 2015 IMG_0895 Breaking Bad Official Travel Mug: I am not entirely sure (quite uncertain actually…) that this Heisenberg mug is really the best item for travel as its ceramic. I think it’s a cool design and a great travel-style mug that should stay on your desk lest it gets broken.
my geek box september 2015 IMG_0896 Seriously Strawberry Nerds: I never know if the American candies we see in this box are an exciting novelty or what in the UK market. I love Nerds but wouldn’t buy them so it’s a fun item.

my geek box september 2015 IMG_0898 Star Wars Colored Pencils Set and Coloring Sheets: This is a bit odd but I guess if you decide that it’s sort of like adult coloring for geeks, it’s s pretty neat idea.

my geek box september 2015 IMG_0900 Star Wars Character Mask: Fun Darth Vader mask and a good item for Halloween. But even cooler for Guy Fawkes.

Venom Shirt: I switched the shirt size in my box this month to ladies instead of men’s and I was a bit crabby about it because of Venom, but then I realized I had an excellent Halloween costume!  It’s definitely from the Dark Side.

This wasn’t my favorite box from this subscription, and I think it’s time to take a break from it and move on to something else! It’s a great box for UK residents because of the inexpensive price and we were happy to have it visit us for a while. The August box was definitely our favorite of the bunch. The September box seemed a little juvenile, which was funny, because My Geek Box now offers a kids’ subscription!

WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING GEEKBOX, they keep payment information off site and continuously renew cancelled subscriptions. Customer service is atrocious and unhelpful.

I LOVE Nerds. M actually bought a small bag for Halloween of little boxes and we have downed the whole thing. LOL All of us love them and the little box is just the perfect sugar size.
