Kidstir is a super cute kids monthly cooking subscription box. You’ll get a fun themed cooking kit sent to your door every month. Every box includes 3 recipes and accessories for each – 2 kid-sized tools and a special extra. On an annual plan, your first box comes with a great recipe binder to store all the recipes in so you can revisit your favorites (see it in this post). You also get 3 educational foodie pages, 3 fun games and activities, and more (like digital recipes, downloadables, and videos!).
DEAL: Save 20% off on the first month of your subscription! Just use this link and coupon code AFHELLO20!
Plus, when you subscribe to an annual subscription you’ll also get a FREE cookbook binder! Plus all subscriptions get a bonus 2 years to select print magazines!
Kidstir lowered its pricing a bit to $15.95+ $3.95 shipping per month. Subscriptions are now intended to last 12 months, and at the end you’ll have created an entire cookbook that you can revisit again and again.
On the inside of the box are the 3 “projects” for the month. The theme for October was Spooky Celebration!
There’s also a shopping list for the 3 recipes – check off what you have at home and then go shopping!
You will always get 2 kid-sized tools and one special extra in every box! This month had stickers, a ravioli press, and a silicone ice cube tray.
Yummy Mummies: Yes to zucchini cupcakes – we have a ton of grated zucchini in the freezer. The instructions are step-by-step and contain notes for adult helpers.
This recipe included stickers to decorate treat bags.
Scary-oligopoly: Make your own ravioli.
Each recipe clearly lays out the ingredients and tools needed, plus the kitchen skills your child will develop. In addition to the recipe, there’s educational cooking information, as well as extension activities with each recipe (word scrambles, etc and other fun activities!).
Each recipe comes with complete ingredients and tools lists, plus the kitchen skills necessary (or that you will learn) in the recipe.
This is a fun subscription! It gets my kids to try something new and we always have a great time together in the kitchen. We will make every recipe from this month for sure – this is one of the boxes that my daughter grabs immediately.
