Everything in my bag for October!

Ayres Hand Cream – Pampas Sunrise ($6.25) Scented with lemongrass and patchouli. Nice basic hand cream and citrusy and invigorating.

Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum ($12.90) It was almost silly of them to send a sample since the full size is 20 mL. I guess with so many subscribers it must save money to make the new package, but still! I was excited when I saw this, then I remembered after I’d opened it that I’ve received it before in Popsugar and don’t like it for my face because of the citrus oils.

Emite Makeup Tweezers ($0) These are trash. They’re totally a hot mess.

I’ll show them up close in a video, but they were machined really poorly, and the tradename stamp is even blurred. There is no way I would get close to my face with these. The only thing they share in common with the linked tweezers is the color. Not even the paint on the end has a nice line, it’s sort of all machined off.

Ok here’s the video!

the Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes ($2.88)  This is a nice color, dries to a matte finish, and has a minty scent.

Aurora Gel Effect Nail Lacquer – Inky Dinky ($8.99) The website clearly shows a purple, and this looks blue to me! There wasn’t anything special about it except the smell was really strong and it had a wide, flat brush. Their website says “For the best result, AURORA GEL EFFECT top coat is a must.” So I think they should’ve sent that!

This bag was merely ok for me. I would have been thrilled with usable tweezers but I didn’t get any so… I also haven’t heard any similar complaints yet but my tweezers were really shockingly bad.

I was excited to get the tweezers, but was massively dissapointed! I thought the packaging was nice, but difficult to open. And the tweezers themselves, did absolutely nothing! It wouldn’t even grip my hairs. Total bust!

I love my Meet Matt(e) Hughes! Colour, scent, application!! And long lasting too! It’s one of the products I’d actually buy full size, on repeat! 😉

I came here just to check if you had the same experience as me with the tweezers!

I was wicked excited to be getting them, but after I got them out of the packaging with another pair of tweezers to try them they were a mess!

I tried to pluck a hair with them and they literally cut the hair right where I was holding it instead of plucking it.

    Terrible fail.

Total fail! I made a video of them last night but I was not brave enough to actually try them!!

I had the same problem with the tweezers, they snipped the hairs instead of plucking them, I really don’t like eyebrow stubble lol. This months bag was a bummer for me, I have been signed up since January, I’m thinking I want to cancel but with all their new subscribers I’m hoping the bags get better

Well, that sucks about the tweezers 🙁 I’m looking forward to getting the nourish face cream though! Better luck next month!

I have no suggestions about the tweezers because I got them too and can’t get them out of the packaging. Crazy?! I also received the Balm lip product and I like it. The other products were the Dose polish which looks like a really dark blue/purple and a hand cream that smells like coconut, and Dr. Brandt facial cleanser. Overall, not too exciting but I do like the two make-up products. 🙂

I just responded to Susan – I had to use a pair of cuticle scissors to remove them!! It was just weird.

Were your tweezers loose like that? Mine are in plastic, inside a capped tube, which was also in a plastic overwrap. They’ve got what looks like a rubber cap that’s next to them instead of over the tips, and I can’t get the doggone tweezers out of the tube until I come up with some other tweezers to grab them with! Also, my glam room says I’m getting the gel effects polish, but I actually got the Dose one. Still appears to be a form of purple, though.

I didn’t realize I didn’t have a photo of them. Yes they were and I used a pair of cuticle nippers (we keep them at the review station – along with 5 different pairs of scissors!) to remove them. The rest was so terrible it didn’t seem worth it to harp.

I finally managed to snag the rubber cap thingy and get it out (it left a mark on the inside of the tube, it was stuck so firmly) and then was able to wiggle the tweezers out. They look a little better than yours, but they’re still not good – rough places on the tips and a weird edge that sort of sticks out along one arm of them. They really look like rejects from any normal manufacturer. Too long for me, too – I prefer a much shorter pair for control. Oddly, my daughter got some pink tweezers (from ipsy) a few months ago, but they were a totally different brand.

I emailed ipsycare about the polish, and they said they’re sending me the one I was supposed to get. I’ll be curious to see if it’s as blue as your picture looks. The Dose one is annoying – the bottle is rounded and can’t be set down, so I don’t really see how you could use it. I’m nowhere near coordinated enough to paint my nails while holding the open bottle upright. Seems like the marketing people who thought up this gimmick have never actually used the stuff.

The lotion I got is unscented, and I haven’t tried it yet. I epect I’ll be able to use it though. And the liquid lipstick stuff might be workable – I like the vanilla mint scent, and the color isn’t as pink or nude as the color implied. We’ll see.

So I just barely messed with my tweezers but now I’m curious to see if they are this bad if I really look at them. I’m going to have to take a good look at them this evening. I just kindof looked and pinched them to see how tight I thought they would get and it all looked ok but I need to check other quality now.
