MoonBox by Gaia Collective Subscription Box Review – August 2015

MoonBox is a monthly subscription box designed to celebrate the full moon. Every month you’ll get 3 crystals, essential oils, herbs, guided mantras and meditations, and a spiritual surprise item, plus recorded meditations through the MoonBox email newsletter and the printed monthly ritual. This box is made to help you set your intention and get the most out of each full moon. Although the release of the box is monthly, you’ll be reminded of the full moon schedule through your communications with MoonBox. Moonbox will also challenge to you Gaia Challenges every week the full moon does not fall – like to explore a new place, yoga class, or some other new experience!

I was so surprised when I opened this box! So pretty! The card says: gifts from Gaia are never random.

This box was for the Pisces Full Moon, which occured at the end of August. The box will tell you the chakra associated with each crystal and the source of each crystal, as well as the names of the other items.

Everything in the box! I had to forgo the normal layout, this was too gorgeous.

The box comes complete with a two page full-moon ritual called Root Down to Rise Up. You can click the images below to read it and see if this box is for you. It’s really sort of a guided meditation. The ritual is based on the elements of Pisces – water and feet (apparently the body part associated with Pisces) – and guides you through a good grounding foot-soak.

The Selenite Wand from Mexico is for your third eye and crown chakra. It’s used for mental clarity and flexibility, and to enhance decision-making capabilities. It’s associated with the moon. Because of its influence on the third eye, it brings powerful intuition and psychic awareness. It also removes blocks to healing.

The organza pouch contains dried herbs and the other crystals! The three crystals and herbs included in the box each month are selected to complement the energy of the full moon.

The Septarian Stone from Madagascar affects the root chakra. (It’s the stone on the bottom.) This stone is associated with calming and nurturing, to communicate with others in a group, and with Gaia.

The Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan is for all chakras and helps you create spiritual connections. It assists with meditations and protects from psychic attacks or harm. This is the perfect stone for the Pisces full moon because it brings creative energy and summons the power of inner strength.

Honeysuckle is one of the fundamental herbs in Chinese traditional medicine. It can be used for colds, wound treatments, skin irritation, asthma, and coughs.

Fruits to the Roots Walking on Moonbeams Soap: This soap is included as part of the ritual – to cleanse yourself and your mind of negative thoughts.

Moon Box By Gaia Collective Essential Oil Roll-On: This handmade scent smells delicious.  It’s a blend of cedarwood, jasmine, melissa, bergamot, seaweed absolute, and clary sage. The essential oils in the box each month are designed for the zodiac.

Epsom Salt Soak: Provided for the ritual foot bath!

This box was so beautiful and thoughtfully curated.  Great presentation, interesting and unique items with a specific purpose, plus a complete guide to the ritual, the speciality items you’ll need to perform it, and the mini-guide.
