Julep Maven September 2015 Subscription Box Review + Free Welcome Box Coupons!

September’s Julep Maven theme was the Kisses, London Collection. Julep Maven is Julep’s monthly beauty subscription – nails and more! This subscription is very neat because it’s customizable – swap out products and colors from a set box and choose from Julep’s best sellers, or choose a pre-curated box. I always prepay for 3 months – I save $5 per month that way!  If you’re not a subscriber, you can get a free welcome box for free, just pay $2.99 shipping. For September I will only wear purple I guess! ! See all the colors available for September here. I don’t think I meant to do all purple – I think I meant to select the cabernet color instead of the one on the left! If you have read my blog for a while you know I’m somewhat of a purple fanatic, so I was pretty happy when I opened it anyways! The polish on the right is Julep’s new Signature creme polish and it very much reminds me of that radiant orchid – a bit darker though.

My polishes this month! Normally with your box you get about 3 items, depending on what you select (I love the customization options!). I picked 2 polishes and a lipstick but Julep handed out free signature cremes and I took!

Julep: The name of this polish is just “Julep” and it’s their new signature color.

3 gorgeous shades of purple! My daughter and I are going to have a painting party tonight, but I keep on bugging my husband to learn some nail art. I know that sounds mildly ridiculous but he’s a great artist (see his horse from a recent Doodle Crate!) and he would be so good at it. I’m always showing him nail tutorials on Instagram.  Because when I do it it’s terrible! I will wear all of these all the time!

I didn’t purchase add-ons but I still had one more item because the last polish I received was a freebie!

Light On Your Lips Full-Coverage Creme Lipstick in Lady in Red: I totally made my husband pick out a lipstick color for me this month (why isn’t he reviewing this box??). I love this formula and the case (it has a gentle tug because of magnets in the case when you place the cap on!). I wear my Julep lipsticks frequently! This is described as a grenadine crème lipstick.

So gorgeous, and great for my skintone. Thanks to all my boxes (and perhaps aging!) I’ve become a lot more comfortable wearing a bold lipstick choice, and this is perfect because it’s not too out there! It looks great! I’m really happy with my box this month!
