my geek box august 2015 box
My Geek Box is a monthly subscription of geek goods shipped directly from the UK to your front door.  Each month you’ll get a mystery box filled to the brim with geek gamer and retro gear, including a limited edition t-shirt in your chosen size. Every month we choose a different theme: from zombies, to superheroes, to video games and even your favourite films. It’s not only the theme which changes from month to month, either – each box is unique, filled with a fresh batch of awesomeness.  Because it ships from the UK, shipping costs factor into the overall expense of the box.

my geek box august 2015 reviewEverything in the box.  There’s no card or booklet but the theme for this month is TOONS (which should be obvious!).

Gobstoppers

WarHeads Extreme Sour Watermelon

The Simpsons Donut Window Pillow  ($13.25) I mentioned to my  husband how cool this was because it has a SUCTION CUP on it so I can hang it on the sliding glass door and he’s all like, oh, it’s a WINDOW PILLOW. Which is apparently a thing. I. Died. Laughing. Like brought to my knees. He says you can use it for air or car travel and I was just mmmhmmmmm. LOL we love it!

Minions Keychain ($5?) This one has stolen QE2’s crown!! So funny and cute, and perfect for this box’s primary UK market.

Adventure Time Festival Wristbands ($6.50) I had to look this up, because I’m not quite cool enough, so Festival Wristbands are like the new thing instead of those terrible Tyvek or plastic wristbands to get into festivals and concerts, and people tend to keep them on because they’re cool And these are! Adventure Tiiiime!

Family Guy Stewie “Go to Hell Socks” ($7?) My husband got a real kick out of these. The Go To Hell part is on your foot so you can sneak them into work wearing regular shoes and nobody will be the wiser!

Animation Shirt ($15) Everything Looks Better In Two Dimensions. I’m a little afraid to wear this, because I probably look better in two dimensions!  (Also, I’m somewhat filthy and the white will go in a snap!). I may tie die this and wear it on our Disney Trip! (Thanks Jenny!)

Adventure Time Inflatable Sword ($7.25ish) This is fantastic because A – Inflatable Sword! and B – Looks like we can’t get it in the US!

My kids ran off with this one for some adventures! This was a GREAT box – maybe my favorite yet from them. I was thinking about canceling but… I think I’ll give another month out of it. It’s pricey for US subscribers but just really a lot of fun! We definitely recommend it for UK readers!
