Items are chosen on the basis of the season and current trends – it’s a curated mix of accessories that ensure you will always look dapper. Selections balance wearables and grooming or accessories, and the clothing items tend to complement each other and are wearable within a single, sharply-coordinated ensemble.
This box is the Empire Box. SprezzaBox calls boxes by a name that represents NYC instead of the month. The naming convention conveys the overall style of SprezzaBox — sharp and cleverly sophisticated.

Once again, the box features a sock-and-pocket-square combo that goes well together in a single outfit, though the color match was not as precise this month as it has been previously. Although it cuts the surprise element down a little, it is really nice to essentially get an outfit refresh every month instead of adding random pieces to your collection hoping it comes together somewhere down the line (I’m not trendy enough for the mismatched-is-matched style philosophy).

Yo Sox! Socks ($9.95): Featuring a herring-bone pattern in majestic purple and grey. These are nice and stretchy, and they are a little heavier weight than most dress socks sent through subscription (and previous SprezzaBox sock selections).
Dr. Squatch Gold Moss Scrub Soap ($2): With all-natural ingredients and a mild, clean scent, this 1.2 oz sample has a decidedly masculine scent and an easy on your skin composition.
Salt + Dapper Pocket Square ($15): A classic tiny checker pattern in dark, dark blue. 100% cotton and thin enough to fit comfortably in your chest pocket without bulging.
Weekend Casual Tie Clip ($12): The innocuous silver arrow complements any outfit without appearing out of place. I prefer clips to pins (who wants to put a hole in their tie?) — this one has a sturdy lever to open and close it.
Bull + Moose Tie ($39): The dots are sharp and are tiny enough to pair with either a plain or patterned shirt. The color falls between purple and blue and could pass for either. 100% cotton and handmade with a very fine weave to the fabric.
This month’s SprezzaBox was excellent – I really liked the color scheme and easy-to-implement accessories, and particularly liked the style of the tie clip. It also has a great value – $78 in items this month – and is miles better than going to the store and selecting a new tie, especially considering that I get the complete ensemble.
