Fit Snack is a monthly subscription box delivering healthy nutritious snacks directly to your door. Every month expect 7-10 full size items plus samples of the delicious and healthy snack foods.

Boxes are only $23.90 per month, a bit less if you subscribe to a longer plan. Get a neat burlap sack as a bonus with your subscription order.  designed like a shoe bag, this is good for corralling your snacks.

The back of the card features a workout. Here’s the Fit Snack curation criteria:

• Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO Free, High in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
• Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
• Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.

There’s a large information card with the photo, name of the product, and a bit of information about each one.

The box contained a pretty sizable haul.  The size and variety of the snacks was impressive.

Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews with Vitamin C – Grapefruit:  The real honey flavor shines through in these organic snacks.  With a full dose of vitamin C, they are a good way to get a little sugar without going hog-wild.  The natural grapefruit flavor in this variety is refreshing and a great complement to the honey.

DeTrim Advance Weight Loss Formula:  DeTrim harnesses the power of Dendrobium and Garcinia Cambogia (as well as a healthy dose of caffeine) to boost metabolic fat oxidation.  Taken once daily, preferably early in the day.

Justin’s Maple Almond Butter:  Almond butter is a great any-time substitute for peanut butter, or for use as an alternative to Nutella in crepes or other indulgences.  This variety blends in sweet maple syrup to create a an awesome treat.

Trophy Farms All Natural Oven Roasted Peanuts:  mild and tender, the oven roasting gives these a less toasted flavor.  A great peanut if you don’t care for heavily-roasted peanuts.  I think of these as the blanched marconas of the peanut world.

Yummari Coffee Endurance Snack:  Deep coffee flavor accents these chewy, slightly gooey patties.  The chia retains the slightest bit of crispness, and the sunflower seeds add a nice tender chunkiness to the hearty tones of the hemp base.

Level Caramel Chocolate Peanut Bar –  Pleasantly sweet, these bars were designed by a Type I diabetic to have low glycemic impact and a good balance of protein and carbs.  These have a great taste and texture, blending a chewy granola-like bar with gooey caramel and a tasty chocolate coating.  A big box of 4 bars was included in the Fit Snack box.  Score!

Columbia County Flax Granola Fruit & Berry:  This giant bag of fauxnola™ is best left to the die-hard flax enthusiast.  The recipe was designed for compliance with “The Plan,” an anti-inflammation diet, but the “fishy” character flax often acquires was in full glory.  The dried berries and sunflower kernels were nice, but the giant clumps of flax were just too much for me.  Too bad, because I was psyched when I saw the size of the bag, which has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $10.  It may be terrible…. but there is plenty of it!

Skinny Pop Popcorn:  lightly salted and very tender, this is a great light snack.

I was impressed with the number of items included in the box.  Two of the items, the Level bars and the granola, came in very large packs — to a mixed reception.  Nearly all the food offerings were gluten-free, vegan, or otherwise a cut above normal snack fare health wise, and I think this is well worth the value as they tend to send higher value items. One of our favorite healthy snack subscriptions, although the big item was a miss for us this month.
