The Planner Addict Box is a new monthly subscription box for planner nerds. The box is filled with planner products you can use for any type of planner. You can expect products from well-known designers such as Heidi Swapp, American Crafts, Amy Tangerine, and some Planner Addict Box exclusives. If you don’t already know, decorating your planner is a “thing.” It’s sort of a cross between journaling, scrapbooking, and of course, keeping your schedule.
Cute presentation!
I’m seeing these more frequently in subscriptions – cute Instagram ready cards to fill out, snap, and share. I am personally very creative when I write a review of a planner decorating subscription box because I’m sort of terrible at planner decorating!
The information card has a Polyvore-esque information card!
Plus details on every item in the box!
Everything in the August Planner Addict Box!
Heidi Swapp Envelopes ($6.15) Four really pretty envelopes that you can place in your planner (either with washi or one of those Erin Condren attachment things) to hold bits and bobs. I have a mind to use that last one to save a curl from baby’s hair. The package actually calls these envelope pages, and says they are for your memory planner. I think it’s safe to say that this form of journaling/scrapbooking is a new crafting genre in its own right.
American Crafts Plus One Collection Notecards ($1.30) Pretty and trendy! 4 notecards with accompanying envelopes. I didn’t expect these but it’s nice to be encouraged to get out of the planner and send a nice note!
American Crafts Amy Tangerine Details Shaped Paperclips ($4.99)
Heidi Swapp Flag Paper Clips ($2.99)
These seem like a significant number of paper clips! Does anyone use that many in a planner? These are super cute and I love the glitter flag!
Cute designs!
Studio Calico Tiny Type Word Stickers ($1.99)
American Crafts Shimelle Pen ($2)
We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape ($2)
Chiclets
Items cute for journaling, scrapbooking, etc, plus some gum! A total aside, but if you have the We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape Dispenser, apparently you can get a stackable post to stack two of them!
Heidi Swapp Pocket Cards: ($4.62) When I saw these at first I thought they were really more for pocket scrapbooking like Project Life because of the pocket card style, but if you take a look at them they’re based on the week along with to-do lists. You can really use them for either!
A fun way to give either weekly highlights or daily details!
I did a super basic layout using some of the items in the box (this is my Erin Condren landscape view planner). Don’t laugh at me! I like to decorate my planner sometimes but not all the time.
I thought this box had a nice value for paper crafting at $26 in items. I hadn’t expected it to be so “scrapbooky” in nature (I was sort of expecting more of the custom stickers that you can use to decorate your pages as a shorthand for what you’re doing that day), but this was fun too. I think how you feel about the box depends on how you decorate your planner! Based on the August 2015 Planner Addict Box, I expect it to be best for someone that is using it as a “memory planner.” I think anyone who is into this would have known this by the list of manufacturers included (I’m pretty clueless, but I know you guys are super excited about these planner subscriptions!). FYI – there’s a waitlist on this box currently. Visit the site to find out more about how to get on it!

So very cute. I really need to get better at decorating my planner and using some of my cute items. I do agree this looks more like memory planner stuff and or project life scrappy stuff but for the price it seems pretty good. I have a feeling I’ll be going through more of my stuff since N is now decorating his school planner each week and you know a 7 yr old isn’t light handed. LOL
JENNY! You are so brilliant. I need to get my daughter her own planner and let her decorate it. DUH.
I’m kindof loving that Ns school gave him one to use and his teacher really makes them use it.. He starts back tomorrow so he’ll have more to do and I’m hoping to get him to write maybe a favorite thing of the week that we can add to each page as he goes along since they don’t fill them all up.
