snack sack july 2015 first look

We love it when the snacks won’t fit into the sack! My daughter found something she wanted immediately 🙂

All the items in the box! You know it’s a serious box when I flip my camera the other way.

Honey Stinger Energy Gels in Fruit Smoothie and Vanilla: Energy gels are a nice term for pure sugar goo (these also have added electrolytes – salt and potassium). There are lots of endurance athletes that need them, and I’m not one of them. I’m feeling that my cousins (both serious endurance athletes) are in need of a care package and these will be in them! I know that they both love this brand because it’s organic and tastes good.

KUTOA Blueberry Almond Health Bar: So this is interesting – they soak the blueberries in apple juice and sunflower oil and then mix it with nuts and chia and flax seed. There’s a lot going on in this bar!

Made in Nature Organic Dried Fruit Tropical Fusion Mix: Sun-ripened bananas, pineapples, mangoes and coconut, ginger, plus cacao nibs! I didn’t try this one because I greedily saved it to take to work for a desk snack. This brand looks really good with lots of interesting mixes!

Snapz Dried Apple Crisps: We’ve had these before and they’re nice and crunchy – and one of my kids’ fave snacks!

pur Spearmint Gum: This is an “all mine” item! I never buy gum but I love it, and pur gum I especially love because it’s made with xylitol, which is great for your teeth!

Sensible Portions Garden Veggie Straws in Zesty Ranch: I do not normally love these – I find them very salty – but the ranch flavor was amazing! I thought they were an awesome snack.

Snack Out Loud Power Puffs in Sweet & Tangy BBQ: These are my fave new snack discovery! They’ve got serious flavor, some heat, and OMG, they’re made out of BEANS. And they taste good!

Boulder Canyon Sea Salt Potato Chips: These have my name all over them. Now that I’m older I cannot eat regular potato chips. They’re just gross. I have to have kettle cooked – preferably jammed in on my sandwich (ok, in some things, I’m still 12).

Food Should Taste Good Blue Corn Tortilla Chips: I love the nutty flavor of these multigrain chips. These will go great with the individual hummus packages I keep in the fridge.

Homefree Gluten Free Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies: This is what my daughter was trying to snag – and we (and her brother!) shared them as soon as the photos were over. They’re so good and taste like regular cookies. I don’t know how they do it.
Kameda Crisps Wasabi Peanut Mix: We love these because of the incredible wasabi “Big Kick!” They’re also gluten-free. If you want you can buy them without peanuts, which I guess you would want to do if you had an allergy, but I love peanuts.

Pop Art Snacks Rosemary Truffle Gourmet Popcorn: I can’t stand mushrooms but I love truffled popcorn! This is a non-GMO corn (yay!) flavored with rosemary and truffle. The rosemary brings a very earthy flavor and it was a new treat for me!

snack sack july 2015 coupons

There were also a variety of coupons included for some of the brands! This was a fantastic box and I’m finding some new brands I haven’t seen in other subscriptions – all great new discoveries, and everything is curated with nutrition in mind. They have a few one-time purchase boxes from July (this box!) available here.
