July 2015 1Up Box Gamer Subscription Box Review + Coupon

The July 1Up Box theme was Justice!  1 Up Box is a geek and gamer subscription box. They describe themselves as offering something remarkable, something creative, and something unique in which all geeks and gamers can fancy. Each month, receive 4-6 items including gear, snacks, toys, art, and just about anything that spells awesome.

The information card is slightly different than most, but still contains all the items.

Everything in the July 2015 Justice Theme 1 Up Box! Sorry for the slightly fuzzy photo – once it’s all unboxed it’s impossible to redo (especially when your children have liberated all of the items!).

Batman Super Hero Shades ($10?) I can’t find these online but we love them. They’re pretty much perfect as far as geek sunglasses go!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turtle Toppers ($2 if you buy 8) Donatello! This is super cute and great for any TMNT fan (which we are!). BTW, if you have younger kids like mine, have you seen the new Pre-Cool Half Shell Heroes? They’re super cute.

Super Rangers Shirt ($15) This is a nice thick quality Gildan shirt and my daughter was all Power Rangers! And Super Mario! And so today we learned what a mashup is. There’s a reason I get this box with a youth size shirt – they seem to always be appropriate for younger children. I think more than any of the geek boxes this one is best for younger kids if they want geek boxes. Don’t get me wrong – also fun for adults and older kids – but the best geek box for little ones.

Princess 007 Magnet ($3?) This is a thicker quality magnet, which I like.  It actually sticks to the fridge – plus I think it’s a cute theme.

Justice Tattoos ($2?)

These are fun and I love the Wolverine tat! I have a really extensive pin collection now and my kids love taking it out to play with it.

Justice League Wind-Ups – Green Lantern ($10) This one is so much fun and what a great desk doo-dad. My kids stole him immediately, but I plan to re-liberate him for my desk. Only a very few items make it on to my desk and this will be the second one from 1Up Box in two months, so I’d say that I’m happy!

So cool! The July 1Up Box has an estimated value of $43, give or take! We really enjoyed this box as a family, and while some of the other boxes are too mature for my kids, this one is just the right speed. I also think it’s a good box for people who want just generally fun swag that has nearly universal appeal (as opposed to the hyper-focused themes of other geek boxes).
