Collectible Geek‘s Collector’s Cache is a monthly package built for the ultimate collector, geek, or enthusiast. Each Collector’s Cache comes with “five meticulously chosen items such as t-shirts, Funko products, nerdy toys from the staff at collectibleGEEK, featuring a different theme each month”.
Our subscription works a little different than most do though. If for any reason you don’t want to receive a month’s theme all you have to do is send an email to [email protected] by the 5th of the month; with your name in it, type SKIP THIS MONTH in the subject line and we will just skip that month for you.
You can skip boxes that aren’t part of your personal fandom universe.
The July 2015 theme is Time Machine. As you can see, there’s also an “I want it all” upgrade option. The IWIA option is a fully upgraded Pop pack and 2 additional items. I have to admit, I’m mega confused about this box. I thought the theme was going to be Animation After Dark. They had said – “Starting with the Animation After Dark Cache we will be moving our ship date to the 25th of the month. That’s the 25th of the month it sells out in. So Animation After Dark sells until the 7th of July at Midnight…and it will begin shipping on the 25th of July.” And the SuperWhoLock cache is shipping August 25. So…. I don’t know what’s happening here. I think what happened is that they squeezed 3 boxes into two months to accommodate their changed shipping schedule.
I’ll Be Back To The Future T-Shirt ($15) My husband is going to be crestfallen when he sees this shirt and realizes that’s it’s a size too small (which I ordered!), but he’ll take it from me and squeeze himself in it anyway. It’s pretty awesome, and one of the best mashups I’ve seen. It’s on a thicker Gildan shirt and the one-color screen works really well for this!
Culture Shock Print Co Micro Poster Set – Greetings from Historic Hill Valley ($6?) This matches the shirt and is also a Back To The Future (which is set in Hill Valley)/Terminator mashup.
Funko Pocket POP! Keychain – Doctor Who Tenth Doctor ($6.50) Can I say that this looks more like Castiel than anything else to me? We’ll remove the keychain and it will join our Funko collection!
Wyld Stallyns Save The Future Tour Backstage Pass ($priceless) This. Is. Awesome.
H.G. Wells The Time Machine ($2.70) I’m sure a lot of subscribers have already read this one, but I think it’s a great book for the theme.
ReAction Figures The Terminator T800 Endoskeleton ($7.58) I love the retro vibe on this one! This line is made to be retro, with limited articulation, just like the 80s Kenner figures.
ReAction Figures are a Funko and Super7 collab.
Apparently last month was not the last box in our six month subscription! While we’re happy with the direction this subscription is going compared to a few months ago, we think we’d like to try something new. This was an overall good box, and I’m not disappointed that my subscription had one more box hanging around. I’m estimating the value around $45.

It sounds confusing just reading your description but I do love this months box. I love the shirt and the ‘Castiel’ oh now I’m thinking of SPN and I may need to watch an episode this afternoon 😉
I did not subscribe to this month’s box. I’m confused too for the same reasons. I do love the shirt.
