June 2015 SnackSack Subscription Box Review & Coupon

SnackSack is a new monthly snacking subscription box that aims to bring high nutritional value natural snacks to your door every month. Snacks are organic or all-natural, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, or gluten-free.

Peeled Snacks Crunchy Peas Please: I haven’t yet found a version of pea snacks that I really like (It’s not that they’re bad, it’s that my brain expects a different flavor than they are), but this time I noticed that there’s 5 grams protein per serving, so I am going to try these with hummus. I think using them as a cracker substitute is a good use for these. I’ve found recently that many of the snacks I get are better combined with a nice dip!  This is a really big bag! 

Glee Gum Natural Chewing Gum: I don’t really buy gum so it’s fun when it comes in a box (which is virtually never – why is that?). These is made with sustainably harvested chicle for rainforest conservation, and a really traditional sort of gum in style.

Sheffa Everything Savory Bar

Sheffa Dark Chocolate Granola Bar

I love how the savory bar has a big fat onion on the front. It’s meant to be inspired by an everything bagel. I admit that I greatly prefer the regular chocolate but the everything is pretty good. If you’re so over sweet, it’s a great trial. We all liked the chocolate bar.

GoMacro Cherries + Berries Bar: Vegan, macrobiotic, and gluten-free! This is designed to have slow-burning carbs for sustained energy release and it’s almost all organic!

Fruit Bliss Turkish Mini Figs: Love this super moist treat. This brand dries its fruit and moistens it with water for a plump and uniform snack. I adore figs and this is way better than a Newton could ever be.

Stretch Island Fruit Strip: Non-GMO and all natural, my kids stole this and I do sometimes buy this brand for them for a sweet treat. Excellent natural Fruit Roll-Up alternative.

Superseedz Spicy Pumpkin Seeds & Superseedz Sweet Pumpkin Seeds

One is mapley and the other spicy, without too much heat. I had fun mixing these seasoned pepitas together too. I love all seeds and pepitas and often use them to dress my cottage cheese. They’re both vegan and allergy friendly and great fuel. Loved these and a great new brand discovery.

Go Raw Sprouted Flax Snax – Zesty Pizza Flavor

Chic-a-Peas Baked Chickpeas – Fresh Salsa Flavor

Two unusually flavored items! The Zesty Pizza is really zesty and incredibly flavorful. Again, I love seeds and seed-based snacks so this was good. The chickpeas I always save for my husband – he’s addicted. They are cucumber and jalapeno flavored.

Honey Stinger Strawberry Waffle: Stroopwafels gone wild! This is produced by an endurance nutrition company and they make all flavors of filled waffles.

Bitsy’s Brainfood Smart Cookies – Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin: If you haven’t had these before, you wouldn’t know that they come in alphabet shapes! Although they’re made for kids, adults like them too and it’s sort of fun to play with your food! They’re also quite tasty and have oats and EPA/DHA (which you cannot taste) baked right in.

This one had a good variety of interesting and healthy foods to enjoy. Not all of them were my top favorites, but I found some new good ones, and tons of items in this box I’ve never seen before. As always I’m addicted to new-item discoveries so it’s always great to find a new brand or flavor that I love! This is a good value snack subscription with the cost of the items equal to the cost of the box.
