Chrome Shaving Stand, NY Shaving Co (~$18) No longer do I need to shove my shaving brush into a drawer.  The stand is polished and counter-worthy, so my brush can stay clean and be dry for my next shave.

Shaving Mug, American Mug & Stein (~$15) This is actually quite neat – it’s made by the company Starbucks hired to produce its made in the USA coffee mugs. It fits the disc of soap perfectly and my wife was happy to have the bowl back that I’d been using.  It’s a fairly solid mug and having a handle is a bonus for pre-coffee fumbling.

Pure Badger Brush with Horn Resin Handle, NY Shaving Co ($25) This is one of the softer shaving brushes I’ve encountered.  The resin handle means it’s light and cleans with just a rinse.  And of course, it fits perfectly in the holder.

Pre-Shave Oil, 2 oz, NY Shaving Co ($18)  One of the lost rituals is pre-shave toning of the face.  This oil has a scent that complements the Old St. Patrick’s and absorbs into your  face more like a lotion than an oil.  This sizable bottle should last quite a while.

Old St. Patrick’s Shaving Soap, 4 oz, NY Shaving Co ($18)  With a very hard-to-pinpoint traditional barbershop scent, this lathering disk fits perfectly inside the shaving mug.

I have received piles of shaving products and accessories over time, and razors and aftershave balm are easy to come by — it was nice to receive all the other must-haves in a single, compatible kit. This would be an excellent box for Father’s Day.
