In no big shocker, the Allure Sample Society box is ending. If you’re a current subscriber you’ll be transferred over to the new Allure Beauty Box. I tried to hassle Beauty Bar this month about it – they discontinued the promo code (and didn’t inform the Allure email marketing team, which continued to send it out), the boxes were out of stock and unavailable for subscription, yet they insisted the subscription was open.
Samples are chosen by Allure magazine editors and Beauty Bar runs the subscription. I suspect that Allure may be moving to a new partner, because subscriptions are currently unavailable. Allure doesn’t seem to know this, and they’ve sent out a now-expired coupon to Beauty Bar (more than once). I tried to tell them about it, and they said to call Beauty Bar, while telling another customer that subscriptions were still on. Get it together Allure! After last month’s appalling edition they need to figure out what they’re doing. (From my May Sample Society Review)
The new home page will be here, although it’s not up yet. I’m not altogether optimistic about the management, because the Allure Beauty Thrills isn’t managed the best, but I’ll keep an open mind. FYI if you’re looking for a beauty subscription in this price range (with higher end products), check out the lookfantastic box I just reviewed (to me, it put the Allure boxes to shame!). I believe I will have an extra box to give away in the next week, too, stay tuned!
