powerup box

Power Up Box is a brand new subscription with geek, gamer, and pop culture collectibles and gear.   Get an epic box every month with a “Christmas morning, gift opening experience,” 12 times a year!  You can choose the premium box (6-9 items) or the deluxe box (4-6 items) and both boxes include a shirt in your opening experience! This was the launch box and I have to agree that it was pretty Christmas morning!

Wow. I knew this box was going to be awesome as soon as I opened it. Seriously!

Everything in the April premium Power Up Box!

Funko PoP! Pocket Keychain – Raphael ($7.14) Perfect for kids but cool enough for big kids like me. My son grabbed this today and I think he wants it hung up in his room. Love TMNT.

Marvel Mystery Minis Vinyl Bobble-Head ($7.40) We got the Silver Surfer. Can’t win all the time! Have to love the excitement of a blind box in a subscription box. It’s like double the fun.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 Lollipop Rings ($3)

Batman Arkham Night Comic Book ($3.99)

These lollipop rings are fun and my daughter likes reading comics to my son. This one is Arkham Knight, which goes with the new console game and it’s the official prequel to the trilogy finale. Go chew on that one for a bit.

Batman PoP! Heroes T-Shirt ($20) This shirt is SUPER soft. Maybe the thickest while still being soft shirt I’ve ever received in a box, and it’s certainly the first Funko shirt. Love love that it’s not a mashup. Love that it’s Funko. It’s perfect.

Power Up Box Swag  – Back Sack, Button, and Keychain. These are fun and a cool addition to the box for subscribers to the first month! You can use the sacks for just about anything and I might be an uberdork but I use a lanyard every day. I will add the button to my collection!

Funko Fabrikations Batman ($13.61) We don’t have a single one of these and have certainly never gotten one in a subscription! This is just awesome and perfect for our Funko collection. Right now I am planning out our decor, which includes display shelves at child-height but above baby height to store the Funkos but still allow play (I admit, we let our kids play with their toys – but of course these are collectibles as well!).

The value of this box is around $55, which was awesome, plus I loved all the items! The premium box is $29.95 per month plus $9.95 shipping, and the deluxe box is $19.95 per month plus $6.95 shipping.  Use coupon code hellosubscription to save 10% on your first box!

I have to say, I thought this was a truly excellent entry into the growing geek & gamer subscription box market. I subscribed to another box recently that promised no filler (and was full of filler). This box had no filler! Even the Power Up Box branded items were high quality. I’m excited to see the next month. There was clearly a mini-theme with Batman going on, plus other excellent high-quality licensed items and I have to say that I was really truly impressed!

Deluxe box was a bust. T-shirt, Raphael keychain, lanyard, candy and Batman Napkins. Not worth it.

I’m a sucker for these Geek Boxes… This one looks great. And I totally know what you mean about filler. There does tend to be a lot of it in certain geek/gamer boxes.
