The branding and styling of Five Four has evolved over the last year — a little less urban/street and a little more cool/classy, so its interesting to find out what has been selected for me each month.  Five Four Club is a men’s clothing monthly subscription club – sign up, pick a style profile and your sizes, and get clothes every month. My style profile is a “mix.” This subscription ships at the end of the month, and nearly always arrives in the first few days of the next month. This is technically the March package but we gave up calling it the correct month, so we’re just going to pretend that it’s the April one unless Five Four actually ships out packages on time.

3 pieces arrived in April’s Five Four package. I received a classic-style tee, a textured tee, and a dressy-casual jacket.  Until recently Five Four Club was a retail brand, but now you must be a member in order to purchase clothes in their shop.

Goodwin Tee ($32):  This is a classic-style cotton tee.  As stated in its graphic, it’s made in the USA (the majority of Five Four items are made in China from L.A.-based Five Four designs).  The graphics have been trending toward more understated patterns, which I think is a good thing from my style perspective.

Norwood Tee ($32)  with a reinforced neck this cotton/poly blend is soft and comfy.  Its shaped like a tee shirt, with slimming panels on the flanks.  The fabric looks like a very thin sweater up-close because of the weave, so this should play a little dressier than a standard tee.

Yeager Jacket ($88):  This piece is pretty cool.  Its a classic baseball jacket with a pinch of Mao.  100% polyester, it likely cleans easily and has a smooth matte look to it.  The blue/black coloration blurs the line in traditional styling — I say don’t engage in the brown/black shoe and belt debate, and just wear it with some sneakers and a woven belt.

I like the overall styling of Five Four Club selections.  My “mix” profile has provided some pretty versatile items — I would feel equally comfortable wearing most of the pieces to a work event or out to a bar. You’re promised $120 of clothing every month but realistically, these are private label clothes, so the actual value isn’t as high. I’ve been subscribed to Five Four for quite some time now and all my clothes are in really great shape.

NO YOU DID NOT. HAHAH. I was actually going to email you – what does your account say RE the shipment we just got? Ours is blank. Are they shifting so packages are in the right month? Tom is slower on getting his reviews out than I am so we got this one, which is actually technically March on 3/27. But we just got another today, and it just says Club, no dates attached. Less than 2 weeks later. (And does it really look white and gold? or you just having fun?)

of course it was white and gold. unfortunately it turned into a blue dress in the middle of the night and i couldn’t stop seeing that after that. wondering if it depends on hydration levels??
