Mommy Mailbox is a women’s lifestyle subscription box (really, nothing in this one that was moms only) with 3-5 surprise items. I thought for $33 the April edition was really lacking.

Every box is curated by a different Mom blogger of some type. This is a cute idea!

Blueberry Hair Ties ($3.30) Nice seasonal colors.

Urban Oreganics Foot Soak ($5?) This looks nice with dead sea salt, fleur de sel, kaolin clay, oats, and chamomile tea. The likelihood of me using it is about zero!

Illume Amber Dunes Candle ($10) SO happy with the choice of this one! Illume is a favorite brand of mine and always has strongly scented candles. The best!

Woodblock Chocolate Bar ($4.50) A bean to bar factory in portland.

This had a great fruity flavor, but the texture was grainy and the retail price is obscene for this tiny bar.

Mint Nail Polish ($12) In Ice Cube.

Graceline Calligraphy Print ($7?) I hate to be a debbie downer, but this print did nothing for me. If they had used some of the gorgeous watercolors they showcase on their site I’d have been thrilled.

I loved the choice of the candle – but I felt like I paid $31 (I have a 3 month subscription) for a $10 candle. The value of this box was around $42 (some of it based on similar items because the prices weren’t available). After I pulled these items out (there’s no real information card) I dug through the rest of the squigglies to find the other item, and discovered there just wasn’t one.

Be happy you didn’t get that February box, it was a dud. This box is really cute, I’d use everything but those hair ties and that print.

omg i just looked it up. here’s our buttermilk biscuit mix, add shortening, butter, milk, and buttermilk. WTF DO YOU THINK I BUY A MIX?? if the box were about $7-10 less I would like it significantly more. $33 is a lot compared to the amazing boxes with hundreds of dollars of products you get through the large subscription companies.

lol..!!! I still have that biscuit mix that got over everything in my box. The best thing about that box would have been the socks, but they are a little snug around my calves. I used the body wash in there, I mean I’ll use any body wash that smells good enough. But it came with confetti and paper straws. I was just… Its really important to pay attention to the curators for the month though, I knew March would be good.

well it looks like may will be good, then i’m out! i have a 3 month sub, i will have to try something else. i went on a subscription spree a couple months ago so i could try out some new boxes for everyone. i think usually 3 months is enough to get the idea. as much as i would like, i cannot review ALL the boxes!

Thanks for posting with honesty! I loved every other month so far and agree on this month’s… very disappointed.

I was so eager to get this box. I really enjoyed the last one. This one just left me feeling kinda meh. Nothing too special. Trying not to be too disappointed because I loved the last box!

Well as weird as I always feel saying it – glad it wasn’t just me! It felt like a lot of filler.
