Taste Guru is a gluten-free subscription box delivering delicious new gluten free products along with chef inspired recipes. Boxes include 7 – 10 great gluten-free items each month, plus little bonus items. February’s Taste Guru brought 10 new products to enjoy.  We aren’t gluten-free but one of the neighborhood kids is celiac, and we enjoy having options available for her when she visits, so we don’t always actually taste all of the products for our review.

Information Card. One of the items (the Ass Kickin’ Honey Roasted Peanut) was not included, because wheat was present. It did make it into some subscribers boxes and I have no doubt Taste Guru will be reviewing their procedures. They were proactive about it, and sent emails to subscribers (I purchased this box because I thought it would be fun to have brownies available for when our little friend visits, so I received the email).

I thought it was funny that the recipe was Fudge Brownies made with Better Batter Flour, because the featured item was BB’s brownie mix.

Mamma Chia Strawberry Banana Chia Squeeze ($1)

Level Life Caramel Chocolate Peanut Protein Snack Bar ($1.17)

Caramel Filled Swoffle (Gluten Free Stroopwafel) ($1.56)

Nocciolata Spread ($0.44)

We actually just bought a couple cases of Chia Squeeze from Zulily, because my kids enjoy them so much! These items all look tasty and fun, and appeal to a variety of people, including children.

YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans ($1.75) The kids get super excited when these are in a box! All natural gluten-free jellybeans.

Dang Coconut Chips ($1.76)

IPS Egg White Chips – Sea Salt & Black Pepper ($1.69)

We love those danged coconut chips! Seriously so good. My husband and I aren’t fans of the IPS, but I know people who love them like crazy.

Better Batter Fudge Brownie Mix ($9) Gluten & allergen free, these make an entire 9×13 pan! Excellent Amazon reviews.

Teas’Tea Unsweetened Green Tea ($1)  My husband will enjoy this, he loves unsweet tea!

The value (calculated off of bulk items, usually it’s a bit more retail) is $19.37. This isn’t bad for a specialty box at all but you’ll save more on a longer term subscription. I thought the February 2015 Taste Guru box was well-curated and I particularly liked the inclusion of a full-size product that can feed the whole crew. We have an upcoming progressive neighborhood dinner and I’m going to pass along the brownies so they can be made in our neighbor’s gluten-free kitchen. (I am hoping I get to try a couple!)
