Green Kid Crafts is a monthly craft subscription for kids that focuses on creative and educational activities with an eco-friendly subscription box.
December’s Green Kid Crafts Theme was Rainforest Science. I was excited about this box – it looked like a lot of fun, and in confirmation, my kids stole it as soon as I had taken photos.
Everything that came in the box (there’s a sticker chart to collect your stickers – it comes in your first box!)
Rainstick activity – My kids (who are playing music right now) are really into instruments, so this was a fun project for us!!
Rainforest Terrarium – My child took this project to do and I didn’t think anything of it. FYI, there are no warnings on the paint (it stains). Whoops. I wish they’d put a sticker on it. But this project turned out great (see below) and I thought it was super unique.
Rainforest Rubber Ball – Make a bouncy ball out of glue and corn starch to help learn about the rubber produced in the rain forest. I thought it was good they didn’t include natural latex (allergies).
The kids had a great time! This is more of a regular craft box with as green a focus as you can get – don’t expect 100% natural products (ummm all our cosmetics are also in plastics, etc) but expect them to be conscious about everything they do.
