December’s Birchbox Man offered a choice between the Nick Wooster curated box or a choice of The Knottery Navy & Red Striped Tie, Izola Flask or Nice Laundry Socks. I chose the Nick Wooster Box and two seconds later I think my husband said the flask. Oh well. Wish he would have texted me sooner – this wasn’t my fave, for 2 reasons. There’s a really stupid NW monogrammed on the wool pouch, and the brown squigglies left lint inside the bag that is impossible to remove. Given the fact that I now found the bag worthless, the remaining items obviously didn’t make up a whole Birchbox Man box to me. YMMV and you may have loved the bag despite that. I was so annoyed by this I wrote Birchbox a note about it and they wrote me back something like a replacement was available, which made zero sense, as part of my complaint was the monogram. Who wants someone else’s initials on their stuff? NOT I. But in case you do, use coupon code WOOSTERBOX14 when subscribing to snag this very box. Also I think it only works on women’s boxes but it’s possible it works on men’s boxes too – when you join using code bbstore100 you get an extra 100 points.
The bag. It has the initials on there, I just missed them. Nick Wooster Zipper Case ($38) – Value to me is zero. Sorry, wouldn’t have paid a cent for it.
- Davines Naturaltech Rebalancing Shampoo ($10.20)
- Malin + Goetz Sage Styling Cream ($5)
- Baxter of California Exfoliating Body Bar ($2.29)
- Kiehl’s Oil Eliminator Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Face Wash ($3.24)
You can actually see on the shampoo bottle and the face wash the squiggly lint. It was pretty extreme. I know for sure my husband will enjoy using these items but again, to me this box was a let down because of the bag.
