Wardrobe Wake-up is a fashion rental subscription that sends fresh, designer looks to your doorstep each month. Wear them all month long, with no pressure to invest. It’s a bit different than some of the other services – instead of being a netflix-like service with the pressure to return as quickly as possible, you get high-end designer pieces to wear for a month.

Wardrobe Wake-up set me up with a month for review. I filled out my profile…

Which is quite extensive. I didn’t get shots when I did it but there are actually photos to help with your selections.

Joie Silk Georgette Top ($188 retail). This looked like a nice top right up my alley when I opened the package! It’s delicate and pretty and matched my profile.

It’s a little blah on the fancy hanger but it actually worked really well on my non-girlish figure and the intent was to take me from work to dinner & drinks.

It’s a bit hard to see here, but there were sheer side panels, as well as a sheer panel over the shoulders. As I’d expressed a dislike for side cutouts, I was dismayed by this. Showing my belly off at 36 isn’t really my personal style (and hey, they don’t know but baby 3 isn’t even 2 months old!). After discussing with my stylist (I marked this as a 1 star item and she emailed me through the Wardrobe Wake-up account) , she explained that this garment was coded as sheer on the top but not on the sides. They select garments remotely so this mistake was easy (although I didn’t have a preference for no sheer side panels, in my mind anyone who doesn’t want cutouts also does not want sheer panels). I told her I had bagged it up and returned it, so they extended my subscription by another month. I was really pleased by their customer service and extremely courteous response and I’m looking forward to giving it another try!  I feel like this kind of issue could happen with any styling service and they did everything they could to correct it.

You can subscribe to one top for the month for $25, a top or dress (alternating) for $35, or only dresses for $45. I imagine with the designer nature of these garments those dresses are quite pricey. I was also pleased to see a very open-ended wishlist section!
