Family Update + Christmas Decorations

Quite a few of you have emailed me and asked me for updates on my family, so I thought I’d post a few photos! If you’d like, you can also follow me on Instagram, where I post pictures of the kids as well as sometimes box pics. The truth is between a newborn and the rest of the family, going back to work, and the blog, I don’t have a whole lot of time for regular updates!

This weekend we put up holiday decorations and last weekend we bought everything we need for a Frozen birthday party and a Jake & the Neverland Pirates Birthday. (the picture behind them is her drawing of Jake!)

Instead of adding more things to their lives, we are taking the family to Disney World for Christmas (before going home for Christmas, also in Florida!). Their birthdays are a week before Christmas. They’re still getting presents (including big Santa presents) but we aren’t really getting anything for their birthdays.

He thinks this is the best. He gets in it all the time!

She trimmed this tree almost 100% by herself.IMG_6441

We moved some of the ornaments to the top and put on the star.IMG_6445Since we now have a nice big house I got a second tree for the kids’ craft and reading room. My daughter found some batting and made snow. I store away all the Christmas plushies and books and drag them out once a year.  Our Playmobil sets are on our living room table.

HA! He’s getting an arial burp from dad and I couldn’t resist taking a photo of his funny face!

So cute. I really could look at baby pics all day long. WDW sounds like so much fun. I love going in December and seeing all the decorations and excitement. It will be busy but you know that so you will be good and still have a blast. Don’t forget to make your fastpass reservations if you already have your tickets. 🙂

Just FYI if we were staying on site we would have totally gone through you! (And anyone else reading this Jenny is an amazing WDW vacation/travel consultant!!!). I MAY have booked a room and had magic bands sent to me and I MAY (cough*will*cough) cancel said room. We got annual passes and will be going several times this next year. One of my cousins is getting married in Tampa in April and we are going again then, maybe once in the summer (BAH so hot!) and then again in the fall. I am thinking the year after that is our cruise year. We should probably start working on that, right?

Awww thank you 🙂 Still with your APs are they activated yet? If so you can link to your magic band and book your fastpasses 30 days ahead even with staying offsite. If they aren’t activated once you get there and get them set up make sure you try to get some for the rest of your stay. I’m trying to figure out my next visit. This Jan we are doing a carnival cruise so that is when we normally do Disney so thinking maybe his Sept track out but I need to get his new school schedule first.
Yes we can look at cruises when you are ready. Looks like we can book the first half of 2016 now so if its then we can check it out. 😉 Or we can just talk about options and stuff.
