The bottom of the box stuck in the outer box. It was more fun that way 🙂IMG_7070

The Vanity Affair Box is $98 (a $300 value!!!) and includes the following:

IMG_7072

Make Calypso Eyeshadow Palette ($40) This is absolutely gorgeous and I’m excited to experiment with it some. This is an unusual and different palette and I think it was a nice choice for winter – bring out the blue!

IMG_7075 Jinsoon Nail Polish in Nostalgia and Coquette ($36) I love that there are two colors and any occasion is covered. This is luxury lacquer but still 5 free.

IMG_7078

Chantecaille Luminous Lip Gloss (one of two colors – mine’s Lychee $34) What a gorgeous perfect pink – shiny and luxe.

IMG_7064

Stephanie Johnson Tinseltown Jewelry Tray ($30)  SO cute – I wasn’t sure about this box when buying it but this really tipped the scales for me. It’s totally gorgeous and I’m super into gold decor.

IMG_6198

Rosanna Alhambra Vanity Vessel ($22) This is gorgeous but my lid has a defect. I’m 100% certain Birchbox will correct it for me (if you read my Home Sweet Homespun Review you’d see that my jam was backordered so they gave me 100 Birchbox points). It’s gorgeous and perfect for the Vanity Affair box. UPDATE: Within 30 minutes of emailing a photo of the lid (this picture doesn’t show the defect but you can see it here if you aren’t a believer), Birchbox shipped me a replacement. I really value their customer service – top notch.

Serge Normant Dream Big Instant Volumizing Spray ($10) I am super excited to try this new volumizing spray! My hair can always use some lift and Serge Normant is always great for my hair!

Maison Caulieres Milky Bath Oil ($16.50) How awesome that the rose petals are suspended perfectly in the bath oil without sinking? This smells great and I’m looking forward to using it!

SHU UEMURA Art of Hair Moisture Velvet Nourishing Conditioner ($13.50)  This is an Oil in Cream. Which means it’s really moisturizing cream! This will make your hair polished without weighing it down.

TOCCA EAU de Parfum Margaux
($20)  Gorgeous and perfect to display, this is a hefty deluxe mini with a romantic tinge.

IMG_7077

Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint ($35) Gorgeous excellent vanity-worthy packaging. I thought it was odd to volumize your cheeks but really it’s a dual use tint and that’s perfect. Vermont brand alert!

IMG_7074

By Terry Baume de Rose SPF 15 ($18) This is rose scented so it will go to MIL but it’s a lip balm or a cuticle balm!

IMG_7076

Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment ($35) I have been DYING to try Sunday Riley but honestly cannot pull the trigger on something that expensive without trying it. Fades dark spots & plumps fine lines = perfection.

The Birchbox Vanity Affair Box is available for $98. It was 100% WIN for a beauty lover. If there’s something you don’t dig, like the rose balm for me, no big deal – the total value is over three times the cost of the box, so you can gift it!

Well I guess you should get rid of it since your lips are right under your nose! Haha!

I would have e-mailed too. Are they making you send the defective one back? I might be able to get past the defect if it’s FREE :)!

Also Brandy, you may not want to give up the BY Terry so quick. It’s a “cult classic” from what I have read.

I cannot stand the smell of rose. Anything rose smelling I throw into a Meme box (because the kids grandma is Mémé) and they can give it to her.
and that way I don’t have to shop for her. I think there was a LE box last year that I didn’t buy because half of it was rose. And i’m not in the business of buying LE boxes for my MIL (bless those of you that do). Some rose things (like the oil) are fine, but that balm was like whew, can’t do it.

And yeah, it was so weird, I sent the photo around to those who’d already received it to check and make sure. I wouldn’t complain unless it was really an issue. That would bug me for-ev-er if I didn’t return it.

I can’t wait to get this box. They are killing it with the LE boxes for the holidays. Oh, and I clicked because I wasn’t a believer…LOL!

Ugh i can’t do that price. But i wanted to agree about Birchbox customer service. I would go as far to say its #1 in all of my online shopping, subscriptions and regular orders. Honest co #2.

They have always been amazing to me. And very pre-emptive about it too. They identify when something is wrong (like no jam) and just go ahead and give you points. So cool.

        What jam?

          11.07.14

i ordered jam and it was out of stock so they refunded me and put 100 points on my account. i always add the sarabeth’s preserves.

Oh, okay. I thought well I didn’t have any jam in my homespun box either!

I ordered this, this morning. I had 600 points and used TAKEOFF20 so I got it for a little over $18. Not bad. Plus a mystery sample pack. (Hope it’s not a bunch of foils!)

I tried some Sunday Riley eye cream once and it totally burned and made my eyes water, but I won’t give up on their other products. Lots of product lines at all levels from drugstore brands on up are hit or miss for me (Juice Beauty, derma e, Neutrogena, etc.).

I’m going to use the tray to store perfume minis, I think. Not sure about what I’ll use the vessel for, yet.

I have been getting hair foils from a brand I cannot remember. cream thingy and an oil. that was SO helpful right? i’ll be careful with the SR but i am going to use it as a mask as suggested! my own vanity… um its a mess. i’m still not unpacked all the way.
