October 2014 Barkbox Review & $10 Coupon – Howl-o-ween Box!

The October Barkbox was hauntingly adorable. 

Plush Puppies Invincibles Cat ($7) This is a serious squeaker. I could feel how sturdy it is, and apparently even if it gets pierced, it will still squeak?!

Simply Fido Ghost ($7) Organic Cotton and made exclusively for this box! It’s crinkly and fun!

Twistix Peanut & Carob Chew Treats ($5.69) PB & Chocolate flavor but SAFE for dogs (if you don’t know, chocolate can be deadly for dogs, keep them away from that holiday candy!). These were large size and I couldn’t break them in half. Lindy was mildly perturbed by the size, she’s sort of like a cat. Then she dragged it under the table to kill it. No really, she’s there right now.

Fruitables Skinny Minis Rotisserie Chicken Flavor Chewy Treats ($4) Cute training treats, Lindy gobbled them right up!

Both made in the USA, totally important for me.

Superior Farms Lamb Nik-Knacks Chews ($2.69) Package doesn’t say, but these are made in the US. Lindy looked at this one with a side eye too but totally ate it.

Hare of the Dog 100% Rabbit Jerky ($1.55) The information card lists this sample as $10, although that is patently ludicrous. The full size box is $10 and this is clearly a sample (11g including the packaging, full package is 71g)

The total value of this month’s box is $28, a lot less than the card suggests ($40). This doesn’t mean its a bad box, I just find the mis-valuation annoying. You can save a TON on any pet box, including Barkbox, by signing up for a long term subscription and using my codes. I sign up for a year at a time. With my coupon, a yearly subscription is just over $17 per box, making it a GREAT deal! Also Lindy is a happy dog!
