May’s Parachute Coffee offering is a nice Ethiopian Yirgacheffe roasted by Detour Coffee Roasters.

The beans are a mixed heirloom variety and have the pale, dull color typical of Ethiopian coffee.

The aroma is bright and acidic; spicy sweet.  When brewed, the coffee is mellow and floral. In contrast to the deep, rich flavor of South American brews, this Ethiopian is delicate with an emphasis on the high spice notes and bouquet. Flavorful and not overly acidic, a very nicely-balanced brew.

My husband says he does enjoy being able to have a whole bag shipped to him so he can really taste it day to day. FYI,  as Parachute Coffee is a Canadian subscription, your charge will be in Canadian dollars. Cut-off dates for ordering are the last day of the month, so Parachute can roast everything super fresh and send it off all over Canada and the rest of the world.United States shipping is $5 extra, but I know there are plenty of Canucks, Snowbirds, and people who just plain love Canadian things and especially fancy coffee!
