If you have a monthly subscription I have found that canceling and resubscribing totally works on these codes – I’ve done it myself for the past two months and that’s why I’ve had two boxes the past two months. The boxes are too good to pass up. 100 points equals $10 in the Birchbox shop, so you’ll have $15+ dollars worth of points after reviewing your products (my last Birchbox had 8 products to review!!), which more than makes up the cost of the box if you’ll be buying anything. I love the Birchbox shop because they always give me a 20% off promo code for *something*, which means I’m getting my products at less than retail and I do hoard my points to do this!

If I cancel and resub will the pending reviews for the box I’m receiving today ((totally excited for my first box)) still be there? Second question if I order box for my husband can I use code again or should I start new account for his box? Thanks! Love your blog!
You should go in and review your items before cancelling/resubscribing. Birchbox is very explicit – your reviews do not have ANY bearing on the items you will get so do your reviews on your expectations or whatever! Probably using the same code for his box won’t work on the same account. Actually I just tried on my second account, which I have for this very purpose, and it says code not valid!

Thank you for always posting these! I always unsubscribe and then resubscribe to get the points! I am pretty sure with the review/extra points I will actually make $10 from subscribing for the whole year. Saving them up for December so that I can get a few luxury gifts for my friends for Christmas!

Wow, I went to it again and it went back to 0 for postage. That 5 was a first for me and I triple looked at it. It must have been a glitch in their system because I only had that box in the checkout. Now, It won’t take my saved credit card. I am going to go to Firefox and see if I can check out there.
The birchbox website is the worst!!!!
