Popsugar Must Have Box Review May 2014 + Coupon Code + Giveaway!

I have the May POPSUGAR Must Have Box! This is going to be a super fab box day. BUT first I want to be totally very clear on something. I recently (like a week and a half ago) became a Popsugar Select Mom Blogger, which I think is the coolest thing EVAR. But they have not said one single tiny word to me about this box, either this month in particular or in general. They have not asked me to post about it, etc. I’ve been writing about this subscription box and my addiction to it for a year. And I don’t always love it. So there. I hope that is enough of a disclaimer and everyone agrees that I pretty much say what I want to say about any particular box.

Anyways, usually by the time I get the box it isn’t quite sold out, but this one is! Good thing I have a giveaway! See the bottom of this post.  

May 2014 POPSUGAR Must Have Box

Woooo! An interesting box with definitely a different mix of stuff than the last couple of months!

Smellbent Perfume Spray in St. Tropez ($45) I was apparently too busy spraying this all over to take a photo of it when I opened the box! I got the boxes last night, but honestly, I had *just* sprayed my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess all over. So I waited until this morning to open it! This is a STRENGTHY scent. It does finally die down to a nice musky suntan smell. The notes on this – jasmine absolute, fresh coconut, aloe vera, and a light breeze over a vintage musk. The musk is really there at first but it goes away and blends with your skin chemistry.

Hi I’m Skinny Sticks in Multi-Grain Sweet Onion ($3) Yummy! These are a great snack and a little goes a long way. We love straw snacks.

Kerry Cassill Sleep Mask ($24) I’m not a big sleep mask wearer, but my daughter steals all of them. BUT I already know I want to take one to the hospital with me when I have the baby. Because they do not let you sleep there! Maybe this one!

Citrus Zinger Infuser Water Bottle ($17) Love this! I think the citrus juicer on the end is so unique. I would totally squeeze in some lemons and some liquid stevia and make lemonade!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer ($10) The color on this is Pool Boy, and it’s quite a bit softer than I expected. It’s also a near dupe for the blue in the May Julep box, which I have on my fingers RIGHT NOW. So good job you guys, you all picked the same blue!

Tone It Up! One Day Fat Blast DVD ($10) Um, I’m not blasting any sort of fat right now, and I was bummed to not have this include an offer for a protein powder discount or whatever.  I think these girls are super cute!

The May POPSUGAR Must Have Box was around $110 in value. I liked it but I didn’t love it. I will tell you what I do love. Someone is putting more and more independent/small designer items into this box and I’m loving that! I want to discover big things and small things and indie towel decorators and perfumers, that’s pretty darn cool.
