Netted By The Webbys is a cool stuff – apps, sites, actual stuff – site that I’ve been subscribing to via email for a long time, so I thought I’d pick up their Quarterly subscription box and check them out! This particular box is $50/per quarter and you can find it here. Netted By The Webbys‘ motto is “Better Living Through the Internet.” This is the third box in this series and it’s mostly a tech accoutrement box.
The Description: Quarterly Co. is a subscription service that lets you receive awesome things in the mail. You can subscribe to people you find interesting and, once every three months, they will send you a package right to your doorstep
The Price: $25+ per quarter
#net03 Review
First thing in my box – a Foldable Me customized miniature cardboard person. ($11.99) This is funny and would be great to have on your desk.
I’m sure what my husband would invent would be much more hilarious. so I think I’ll have him do one for me! Or maybe I should send this for his desk!
Every Quarterly box has a letter from the curator. This box supposedly had a teaming up (like phone + keychain) theme.
I was excited by the Eastern Collective cable. I stole my husband’s lightning charger.
Eastern Collective Auxiliary Cable ($12.95) I was, however, kinda bummed that it’s an aux cable. Really, people use these? Doesn’t everyone just use bluetooth? Maybe I just wanted another lightning cable soooo much but I thought this was a bit out of touch?
AM Mini ($3) This is a microfiber sponge that supposedly cleans up screens. I was excited about it but I didn’t find that it did much for my crusty macbook. They have actually quite a line of products and I’d be totally interested in trying some of the other ones. I have a screen cleaning issue!
Objekten Keyring ($20.75) You smoosh the top part of the ring back and stick your phone in it to prop it up. I have a feeling my husband is going to really dig this. I’m wondering if it’s strong enough for his ipad mini!
The Quarterly Netted by the Webby’s #NET03 is soooo close to reaching $50, but not quite. Unfortunately I didn’t find anything really truly groundbreaking in this box. I canceled. Quarterly is really hit or miss, mostly miss in my opinion. I think very few of the curators have Nina Garcia’s string pulling abilities (and vision).
You can find out more about Quarterly subscriptions or subscribe on their site. You can also see all my Quarterly Box Reviews!

I cancelled after this box as well. I just wasn’t impressed, and the spongey thing didn’t work for me either.
Yeah I kept wondering if there was some sort of special trick :/
I had always wondered about this box, it looked like a fun one, I’m all about Gadgets and the like. I’m subscribed to another web/gadgets box and it is always a hit or miss for them as well. It seems to be a very subjective thing, everyone has their own idea of what is valuable.
It’s true. If they’re not customizing it to what you own (and Quarterly doesn’t, which is why they sent the aux cable), it isn’t as valuable. I do have to say I love the Eastern collective lightning charger to bits. My apple OEM charger bit the dust and my macbook was giving me terrible warnings about the power to my usb port.
This is an interesting box, but not one I’d pay $50 for (I’d rather try FFF). Although I do feel like you’re paying more for curation than actual value with Quarterly boxes so the only one I’d gamble on is Nina Garcia’s!
You are paying for celebrity. And there are so many awesome, reliable, anonymous boxes out there that I am not sure why. I have seen a couple great boxes (that fitness lady). I think there is better luck with the $100 price point. But that is spendy!
