April 2014 Ipsy Review

What’s up April Ipsy Bag? You’re so cute! And Beauty does rock! I was pretty happy with my Ipsy this month – there are always great sample, but as usual, I have serious bag envy! Some bags had Demeter Jasmine (I have been passed over TWICE on the Demeter now!) but I didn’t get it (wah). I also really like the Mary Kay @ Play lip jelly that some subscribers received. I did just go in and retake my Ipsy Quiz just in case! I narrowed down a few things and reset my skin tone for the summer!

April 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag

The theme for April’s Ipsy was Beauty Rocks. I think it’s funny that there weren’t twistbands in some of the bags since that’s what is on the card!

Despite not getting what I was dying for, this was a super nice bag!!

Cailyn Apple Pink Lip Balm ($19) This is really cute with an in-built lip brush and a nice soft pinky peach color.  I love not having to stick my finger in something!

St Tropez Gradual Tan Anti Ageing for Face ($11) I love self-tanners specifically for my face. I think it needs a different approach (different kind of moisturizer) and I know I will use this!

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant ($9.75) This is a great product and honestly I love to get it $10 at a time and get everything else in my bag free! I love subscription boxes. They allow me to have all the products! I love all the things!

Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow in Champagne ($13) What a beautiful neutral shade. Anyone could use this!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Black Velvet ($15 – this is technically a sample size – 3/4 of the regular!) Despite having a zillion eyeliners, I always love trying a new one, and UD has some great colors. I really want to try one of their dark purples. Blue is so 2013. 2014 is all about the purple liner. I just made that up. But I think it’s true!

My April Ipsy bag had $67.75 in value and I had 5 products (unlike last month’s measly 4!)! I am getting a little bummed that I never quite seem to get my coveted products and I can’t really go in and fill out my profile how crazy I am when I get them, because I don’t get them. I guess they know I’m in love with Demeter and Pacifica and I don’t need them in my bag (indeed, I just pulled a Pacifica order last month!). But whatever, great bag, ten bucks YOU CANNOT BEAT IT. loves it.
