April’s Birchbox theme is Rainy Days. But it should be SNOWY days! What’s up with that! Snow! Last night! in DC! On April 15! I digress. I don’t know about tucking up with a book as Birchbox suggests as most of April has been totally amazing weather wise, but I still love my box. Be SURE to read my post on how to score an AWESOME deal on Birchbox if you are a new or monthly subscriber. I am sending you to that post instead of putting it here because readers have commented that it works, etc. and it just makes it easier because it sounds way too good to be true.

And always always always if you are placing a shop order check out the Birchbox Bonus shop (if the mystery pack is out of stock in the women’s you can head over to men’s to get one of theirs). I always recommend that everyone purchase a Birchbox subscription because after you do the points the box costs about $5 per month and then you get coupons that you can use with your points and it’s such a great deal. And now they have Birchbox Aces where you get free shipping all the time if you get so many points per year.

The Subscription: Birchbox
The Description: Birchbox is a discovery box that will send you 5 samples or full-size products. Earn rewards points by subscribing and reviewing your products that you can spend on full-size items on their site.
The Price: $10/month

Birchbox always has a great information card and I do use it because it has the directions on it. Although I don’t know if they need to tell me how to eat a Kind bar.

This month there was a tip inside the box and if you really want you can get all 52 tips for a Rainy Day. Might be a fun lunchbox note for a high school senior or something?IMG_3741

I was so excited because I got SIX THINGS IN MY BOX! That’s an extra dollar in the store. WOO.IMG_3735

Number 4 Reconstructing Masque ($2.85) + Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo ($3.75) Normally I don’t use anything like a masque on my hair but I actually like doing it once in a very great while, so getting a small sample is nice for me. Plus it’s totally an extra sample. I got SIX SAMPLES WOOO!

Nazelie Moisturizing Night Cream ($13.50) One of the reasons I’m so happy with my Birchbox this month is that the value is ridiculously high. My boxes for the last few months have been so low, and this ONE item is nearly as much as the entire box last month. (Seriously it was like $16.50). I have dry skin so this EVOO based night cream is poifect.IMG_3740

theBalm® cosmetics How ‘Bout Them Apples? ($5.30) This is soooo pretty and I might be convinced to splurge on the whole palette. It’s so cute (and hunky at the same time) and the colors are gorgeous and I just smiled when it showed up in my box. How could you not?IMG_3736

KIND Healthy Grain Bars ($1) I buy 2 boxes of regular Kind Bars per month on my Amazon Subscribe & Save and eat one for breakfast most every day. I like these new ones OK. They have less calories but lots more carbs than my usual ones.  I get the chili ones and the peanut butter chocolate ones. They are the perfect light breakfast that doesn’t mess up my blood sugar.IMG_3738

Color Club Gala’s Gems Collection ($3.50) This is such a pretty pearly white color! I think I’m going to use it as a base for some of my nail decals that I tried out this morning!
After I added everything up, my April Birchbox was around $30 in value! I thought that was amazing, plus I loved everything. What a great box. Do not forget to do the special Birchbox Deal for extra points!
