I’m really surprised that more of you haven’t left comments about the increasing number of baby subscription box reviews on my blog (and my recent obsession with food)! Yes, that’s #3! And it’s a boy, arriving in mid-September! And although me being sick had mostly nothing to do with this pregnancy (it’s been colds and the flu and stomach bugs), it certainly hasn’t helped! But I’m a little bit older and a lot more tired with this one. Maybe after a few weeks more of actually being in the second trimester I’ll have my regular energy back, but it really was a kick in the pants to spend the first part of the whole thing plain old sick. I’m sure it has nothing on women who have actual morning sickness though.
Yes that’s really a baby! I have had 2 ultrasounds and that’s the best photo out of all of them. The picture is almost 4 weeks old at this point so I am sure he looks more like a baby now. Once I get back to actually blogging (crossing fingers) I’ll slide new pictures in my daily posts. We found it easiest to recognize it as a baby if it was blurry. It’s perfectly healthy. Those ultrasound technicians I guess look at these things all the time! I had gestational diabetes with my first two (and I am not totally locked down on my carbs just yet but I’m watching) and I generally get a lot more ultrasounds than the average pregnant woman (trust me, it’s the only plus).
Surprisingly I haven’t subscribed to any pregnancy subscription boxes. I don’t get morning sickness or any indicator that I’m really pregnant except I’m outgrowing my pants, and it’s my third kid, so I haven’t really been freaking out. After I get YAY big (I’ll be there soon, I get gigantic) maybe I’ll be more like GOSH I’M PREGNANT! I take Honest Company Prenatal Vitamins, which are pretty much just like Rainbow Light Prenatals (which I used for my other two) except there are THREE instead of SIX. I like that. Also the edges aren’t quite as sharp. That’s nice. And I have those on subscription!
I have no clue what we are going to name this child. But like my other kids (because their names are ridiculously searchable – they aren’t weird, but they are unusual!), I’m not plastering it on the Internet. If you have a lovely name that doesn’t start with A or E and matches O’Grady, feel free to suggest it. If I use it, I’ll let you know! Suggestions from my friends have ranged from the perennial Seamus to all the male names from Frozen to “Riker” (like from Star Trek). Or TomBrady O’Grady. Real winners!
I haven’t told my kids, because I really don’t want whiny questions about the new baby for almost 6 more months. I cannot make it go faster. I think we’re going to tell them this week though. That should be interesting! We’ve been kind of hinting at it for a while – how would you like a new baby brother or sister? The first time I asked that my daughter broke out in actual tears sobbing that she’d have so much less time with me. So, um, yeah. Subsequent questioning has fortunately revealed a better attitude. It’s not like we can take the baby back to the store.
So that’s that! We’re super excited and have a million things to do! We have to get E his own big boy bed (not sure if we’re making it a bunk right away or not) and turn the craft room back into a nursery (where are we putting all that crap??) and I have a zillion reviews to write! And we’re still trying to get my husband home. He was supposed to be home next week, and I’m still devastated about that and terrified that they will renew his contract. We have too much going on for him to decline it (because we’ll have no money coming in!) and we have too much going on for him not to be here.

I know! Surprise!
YAY !!! Great news ! Congrats 🙂
Oh fun!!! Congrats girl, that’s so exciting!!! I want a third one but don’t want to birth it. Can I have yours??? Hahaha
And LOLz at Tom Brady o’Grady! 😀
hah, i’ve had 2 c-sections, so this one will be that too. so it’s not quite as big of a deal – though the recovery is worse!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!! I have never met you yet I am so completely thrilled for you!! 🙂
And YAY for September!!!! My birthday is Sept. 7th!!!!
Heh. It’s 9/20. I will probably schedule for 9/18. The months will be different but then it would be 14, 16, and 18. No other reason.
YAY!!!! It’s a boy! Awww – how absolutely precious – so thrilled for you!! Congratulations!!!!
congrats! i wondered if something was up… glad to hear its a bundle of joy! 🙂
xo. jenn @ hello, rigby!
Yes, and the fact that he’s a boy makes him a slightly smaller bundle of money! HAHAHA. Sorting clothes this weekend, passing on girl clothes, saving boy ones! Like I won’t buy all new ones anyways.
Ahhh, I just should have scrolled two clicks more! Here it is!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🙂 I was surprised how many people saw it because I kind of just threw it in there!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! 😀
Thank you Iris!!!! I know! Lots of exclamations! I started getting rid of all the baby stuff before we left in December. Whoops.
Wow, what news! You do so many reviews that I didn’t pick up on an increase in baby stuff at all. Plus, I have to admit to having been terribly busy myself. Congratulations. As to names, I have given it some thought. Connor? Liam? Patrick? Carrick? Garret?
Lol you didn’t see it on my fb! I had thought I told you but I didn’t remember. I know. Surprise!
Oh my gosh I am so excited for you guys! Congratulations!
Thank you!!! Now we will have 3 loud ones too! Because I am a LOUD TALKER. drives my husband crazy. He isn’t!
Congratulations!! You know, I did have a suspicion, but only because I’m pregnant too and you were sick at exactly the same time I was for about the same amount of time (then again, you did just say it wasn’t actual morning sickness) – you don’t happen to be due in September are you? Plus a few things here and there like not eating unpasteurized cheese or processed meat sticks – but again, totally wouldn’t have noticed that if I hadn’t been avoiding exactly the same stuff!
So exciting though! Let us know how letting your kids know goes. 🙂 My daughter (3) was pretty much indifferent to our news!
Yes I am due in September! And it really was all other sorts of illnesses – but I think I got so many and was so fatigued (obviously) from the pregnancy. I was NEVER like that with my other 2! I am not sure when we told our daughter about it but she was 2 (plus 2 days) when our son was born. I do have a pile of meat sticks for later! Lol I was so excited that all of Costco’s fresh mozz is pasteurized I bought some today. I am actually a lot less concerned about the “traditional” sources of listeria than I am about the pre-made packaged foods – lettuces, apple slices, and even whole cantaloupe. Ugh.
Congratulations!
Thank you!!
What wonderful news! I am so happy for you and your family!
Thank you!! Took me a while to get over the surprise! I sold our crib in October!
Congrats!! We have 2 and I want a third. And I have noticed a bit of baby boxes reviewed lately 😉
LOL I knew someone had have noticed 🙂
Congratulations!! & I’m actually totally loving the boy names in Frozen, just not Olaf LOL.
What, no Olaf O’Grady? We actually said Olaf Grover O’Grady. The OG OG. HAHAHA.
Congrats!!! Exciting!
Congratulations. So happy for you
Thanks 🙂 🙂
Congratulations!
Thank you!!
Congrats!!! We are in the same boat with our girls. My daughter is still super unhappy about having a little brother again. She keeps asking for a sister and I tell her it doesn’t work like that. But on the plus side she only REALLY wants to get rid of Cash and not the new baby. haha
Awww I know she secretly LOVEs him.
So happy for you!
🙂 Thank you!!!
Congrats on baby #3….. Funny how the 3rd one comes along and its like its a “normal” thing….my hubby totally forgot one time i was pregnant and i dont know how he managed that considering i was gigantic when he made a comment lol Good luck there momma! Hope the children take to it a lot better when they get told of the new little bundle of joy!
I think they are going to be excited. But I do think I may wait a while longer still. Then again we have an appointment on Wednesday. The kids go with me to the regular OB but not to the perinatologist. The latter is MUCHO annoying but he is a GREAT doctor. Both of them are!
SO happy for you!! Love baby O’Grady already! 🙂
We love you too!!!
