Beauty Box 5 is in my opinion the most improved beauty subscription box I’ve seen over the last year. I got a little tired with my box last fall and unsubscribed, but had been impressed with its continuing improvement, so I signed up for a few more boxes. The February Beauty Box 5 was definitely one of my favorites!
The Description: Beauty Box Five is a beauty and makeup subscription box that delivers 4-5 samples to your door. Products are usually quite unique and different from other boxes
The Price: $12 per month down to $99 for a whole year – just $8.25 per box!
February 2014 Beauty Box 5 Review
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo & Conditioner ($0.93 for 2 travel packets) Touchably full for color treated hair. I was happy to see this in my box and I’ll save it for travel!
Rockstar Nails Polish & Sprinkles ($6.25) These are super cute. But reality check! The card says the retail on these is $14.99 and no way is that possible! Previously there was a groupon for a 4 polish/sprinkle set for $12.99 and the retail on that was $25, so I have assigned something more reasonable. Besides that, I totally love this! I think my daughter & I may use this sick snow day to put some sprinkles on our nails!
Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Body Wash ($.87) I love Aveeno! It smells great and this is perfect for a calming night time shower.
My Name Necklace Coupon – This is a bonus item and I totally used it last time around, and was very pleased with the result. I purchased the “Carrie” style pink acrylic necklace for my daughter. She was pretty rough on it and pulled out one of the jump rings, and they sent me a new one!
Elizabeth Mott It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara ($8.48) Like most mascaras, I’d probably rather use Cover Girl for the price, but an extra mascara is always good (and a nice choice for this Texas-based box! And yeah, I’m totally saying that Texans are obsessed with mascara!).
The February Beauty Box 5 had over $16 in value by my calculations. I thought it was a great box and I was totally happy with it for what I paid. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next couple boxes have in store!
