Mavens! Reserve your Julep Plie Wand! It’s an ergonomically designed polishing wand that enhances accuracy & control for at-home polishes – and the easiest way to understand it is to watch the video below! I gotta be honest – I am totally skeptical, but I’m going to give it a shot. I’m probably more excited about the caps & storage (see below) than the wand!

Updated June 1: New Mavens can customize their box as much (or as little) as they like. Sign up for 1 month and pay $24.99/month ($4.99 shipping for your welcome box), or sign up for 3 months and pay only $19.99/month (FREE shipping on your welcome box!!)! Take the Style Quiz  and enter FREEBOX at checkout to get your first box free. I totally recommend picking up the 3 month customizable subscription! I am loving being to pick out exactly what I want!

Also, FYI, since publishing this post, Julep decided to not do the stupid thing with the caps. The actual wand will fit on your existing caps. It’s fantastic! No need to reserve, purchase your wand here, although you can often get it as an add-on to your box. I had a terrible time with the wand on my very first try, but my second try was absolutely better than polishing without it, and my manicures look better each time now. Definitely better than without the wand.

A bit of an update, Julep believes that with special promotions we’ll all go out and buy new caps for our existing bottles? I think I have enough polish that I’m happy just washing it off & letting it dry (as I originally said)? I actually REALLY like the square caps and the swatch labels so…  yeah I don’t know about that.  Julep says

Because of the Plié system’s magnetic cap, the Swatch Me stickers will no longer be located on the top of our Julep caps. But there are certainly other options for placing those stickers so feel free to get creative!

Can someone tell me why the hell you would put it on the side of the bottle, where you can see the actual color? The only place is the top, and while the below storage is cool (and I still think it is), it’s not a way to store all your polish. Buying all new caps for my polish isn’t going to happen. And the new cap lid has a hole in it, which is kinda weird.

Awesome stuff – Julep caps will now be magnetic to work with the wand (there will be an extra cap to work with old polishes – I’m betting you can just wash it off?).  Which means you can store them like so (of course it won’t work for old colors, but I think it’s neat)!  There will be a dotting tool & striping brush available as add-ons. To get the wand basically we need to fund its production by pre-ordering (ahem). So if you want to make sure you get it, reserve your Plie Wand now (that means you need to pay for your May box now)

I’m skeptical too, but curious enough to have put in my order! I mean, it makes sense that more leverage helps, so we’ll see. Also not a fan of the new round caps, but I see why they needed to do it for the wand.
