January 2014 POPSUGAR Must Have Box
Rifle Paper Co. 2014 Flip Around the World Desk Calendar ($16) Track your days and see the world. I suspect most of us won’t be inspired to take a trip to Istanbul this year from the calendar, but maybe in the future! I was planning on purchasing this calendar for a friend – it’s just his style, so I was excited to get this! (Don’t get all weird – it’s the dude who performed my wedding ceremony!)
Jack and Lucy Grey Knit Gloves ($10) I am assigning these a $10 value, because they are officially no-named gloves to me. Adorable name, nowhere to be found on the internet! They are also a bit large for my child-hands, so I’m passing these to my husband.
The Juice Generation Book ($15.86) Ok, I don’t get juicing, I think it’s somewhat silly, but this is a gorgeous book and it has smoothie recipes too. I like eating my food!!!
Malin+Goetz Detox Face Mask ($40) This is a full-size item and it was totally cool to get this. My face does need detoxed!
Pipsnacks white truffle Popcorn ($6) Ok, I made myself try these mushroom laden tiny popcorns (mushrooms make me gag, but I felt obligated) – and they are delicious! Why didn’t anyone tell me truffle doesn’t taste like mushroom? Maybe it’s just white truffle. I was glad I tried these! They are yummy! Also this is a gigantic bag. I think everyone else needs to step it up from now on. No more single serving bags! But… let’s lay off the popcorn! There are other snacks!
Revlon Box O’ Files ($3.49) I can always use extra files and these are adorable!
This wasn’t my favorite POPSUGAR Box ever, but it wasn’t a complete dud. This month’s was around $90 in value.Overall I get way more than I pay for and my box makes me happy. That being said, I’m looking forward to trying out the Social Bliss Style Box, which I hope will put up some competition for Popsugar – I think they need a little at this point!

I felt like this box was such a dud. I don’t feel like I’m going to get any use out of it, except for the face mask. I’m glad this was my last month of PSMH.
I still haven’t figured out what to do with the juice book! Except our former nanny is totally into juicing so next time she is over I will pass it along.
The item I’m most excited for is actually the popcorn, haha. I’m still on the fence about how much I like this box, but comparing this to last year’s January box… I’d take this one! 😀 Though I think it’s kind of short-sighted to send a calendar in mid/late-January when most people have already bought calendars, lol. I guess I’ll wait until Saturday when I get mine to make a final verdict!
Oh I totally agree about that but it’s a really pretty calendar. I bet you can find some use for it. it would also be cool to slice it up and make a wall collage.
this is my last month of PSMH (i bought a 3 month sub before they raised their prices) and am considering just going with social bliss for a month! i’m hoping someone posts a review soon though because i’m so curious.

Agreed–not my fave thus far, but I loved a lot of the items. Okay, I totally hate mushrooms but may have to give the “pip”corn a try. I think I need to get a juicer now. I told my mom about the book and she agrees with you–she likes to eat her food, not drink it. 🙂 I’m also super excited about the face mask!
