Oh now I have to admit that I signed up for Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP. The Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP subscription is a yearly one and costs $348. Gulp. Put that on my “husband doesn’t see it” card! It works out to a mere $29 per month though which is completely reasonable for a monthly luxury makeup subscription. And wow, is the LMdB beauty box a luxury subscription! I was so excited to get it and it is just beautiful. I did take some “complete unboxing” photos, which are linked as thumbnails at the bottom of the post, if you’d like to see what it looked like as I opened it!
Don’t forget to enter my mildly annoying Popsugar Must Have Fall Giveaway. If you’re into that sort of thing.
August Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP
There is no information card in the box. While I’d like more information, it’s also a way to invite you to dig in & just try the products! The products in each box will range from color cosmetics to skincare, and exclusive products!
Because from spoilers I already knew what was coming, I prewrote part of my review (the informational part). Some subscribers received the Kaleidoscope Eye Kit. Because I think the information there is helpful, here it is…
LMdB Kaleidoscope Eye Kit: This innovative compact is gorgeous and I love that it just snaps right together. Some application tips I found online:
Layer shades from top to bottom using the Couches de Couleur* technique to create a prism of color for the eye; colors can be worn individually, but really work best when worn together, layered to bring out dimensional eyelids.
Couches de Couleur: Translated as “layers of color” is a proprietary application technique that uses Le Métier de Beauté’s finely milled True Color Eye Shadows to create a beautiful prism of colors and multidimensional look for the eyes.
That kind of information should be on a card and I hope they add it to this box next month! $95
I also wrote: If they send the Kaleidoscope Lip Kit in a future box I may just keel over.
Well imagine my complete and utter glee when I found the Le Métier de Beauté Kaleidoscope Lip Kit in Bauhaus in my Le Métier VIP box!!!
Each distinctive hue blends together effortlessly for a dimensional pout, mirroring the bold Bauhaus notion of combining unique parts for a collective whole. Lips will be left with a total package, mixing statement and sophistication.
The shades are as follows, from the top to bottom.
- Linaire: a lustrous gold-infused rose petal
- Criterion: a gilded amber-peach that translates to a very pale neutral
- Esthetique: a shimmering vintage rose
- Silhouette: a Cimmerian cloak of sheer amethyst
LMdB Lipstick: This one didn’t have a color label. Perhaps it’s an exclusive? Whatever it is it’s gorgeous and I think perfect for the transition into fall! Beautifully Invisible says that the name of this lipstick is Signature and it’s from a new Hydra Crème line – as confirmed by Le Métier de Beauté! $32
LMdB Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Noir: I played around a bit with this liner and I loved it. I can best describe it as a sheer black. $42
LMdB Kabuki Brush: This came in a sweet little pouch to carry it around with you. I guess you can stick it in your bag for on the go application? I’ll keep it at my beauty table 🙂 It was a special gift for signing up, though they didn’t really need to sweeten the pot with this kind of haul. $85
Even if Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP only sends samples for the rest of the year I’ll have gotten my money’s worth out of this subscription!
You can find Le Métier de Beauté here but the Beauty Vault address is broken, as it’s completely unavailable. You’ll have to wait & dream & read along until next year. If you care to shop the individual products don’t forget you can use Ebates at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus!
Signups are available only once per year so this entire review serves only to taunt you that you didn’t sign up when I posted this in my directory over a month ago. (I’m so sorry you can’t sign up!) If you want to find out about new boxes either bookmark & visit the new boxes & coupons page or follow me via email, rss, or bloglovin.(About once a week I push that post to the front when there’s new & can’t miss coupons and new subscription boxes!). Be sure to check out all my Beauty Box reviews or check out my easy to navigate pages of all my subscription box reviews.
