This is a review of Citrus Lane baby subscription box for my 31-month old toddler boy.  I don’t usually get my daughter a Citrus Lane box (she’s 4.5) but I think I might get her a box next month. It looks like there’s more variation in the boxes than there used to be!

Citrus Lane comes via USPS Parcel service. It seemed like everyone got theirs before ours arrived.  I like Citrus Lane’s presentation a lot. It’s simple and sweet.

The Citrus Lane information card is quite extensive and has information on all the products (6 this time, although 2 of them went together!) and any available coupons and discounts.IMG_8318

July Citrus Lane Unboxing

I love this video of E taking everything out of the box. He was truly excited about each item! I have said before that the kids are just crazy about everything that comes in the Citrus Lane boxes and they totally are.

July Citrus Lane Review – 31 month old

Goodbyn Bynto Lunchbox – I actually own a Goodbyn! I won it off a blog contest a few years ago when Goodbyn was launching. As much as I like my purple one, I like this one even better! Mine has more compartments and I think the three large compartments are easier to manage. Plus, there’s a translucent lid. Goodbyn is BPA and phthalate free! And dishwasher-safe. However, I’m pretty sure we’re going to be using it for E’s big boots. He loved having a box to stash his stuff in! $9.

Goodbyn Stickers – These stickers are dishwasher safe and let the kids personalize their lunchboxes. I think it’s such a cute idea and we’re going to decorate E’s stash box today! $3.50

Melissa & Doug Lace & Trace Shapes – You can see from the video that E wanted to play with this one right away! The kids have been fishing with it and are playing with it right now. I love this for helping improve fine motor skills and unbelievably, we didn’t have one at all. $10

me4kids Cool It Buddy Instant Ice Pack – Definitely going into the playground pack for bumps & bruises! My daughter is somewhat obsessed with having ice packs for a boo boo and it can be quite terrible if she doesn’t have one, so I was totally psyched to see this! It’s perfect for first aid when you’re out of the house and don’t have access to your ice. Or if you’re like me and fill up the ice container with food instead of ice. $3.

Babytime by Episencial Mighty Shield Bug Repellent Lotion – Ok, I just looked this one up and I’m a little puzzled. It has organic eucalyptus + more plant extracts plus.. the “natural effectiveness of 20% DEET.” I don’t know if I’d call DEET natural but I am happy to see an otherwise natural lotion using it. I don’t find the citronella based products to be quite as effective and the kids & I are prone to sweet-meat syndrome. Which is an actual medical condition. In all seriousness any one of us is a bug magnet and we have been getting chewed up. I will use this to be able to stay out longer at the 5pm hour which is perfect for playground time except for the bugs. Based on the full bottle size, I’m calling this sample $1.75.

Postagram Credit – I think I heard of Postagram two days ago for the first time. I was really psyched to see a credit for a) something I would totally use and b) a credit that isn’t (I hope!) just for first-time users. You can send a postcard from your phone with a punch-out picture. Very neat and I love not having to deal with postcards/stamps/mailing. I will definitely use this.IMG_8331

The value of this box was $37.25! I thought it was a great value and included items I would never have thought to get but that my children just totally love. We are super happy with the July Citrus Lane box, just like we are every month!

Interesting. I signed my niece (35-months in August) for a buy one box, get one free and was expecting it to start with September (coincidentally, when she turns 3 🙂 ). She just got her first box today (8/21) and it was this one! Hmmm. Not a bad thing, but I guess I just thought when I was signing up that she was getting Sept and October, not July’s box in August and then Sept.

I don’t think they are saying it has DEET in it. I believe the sentence means that their ingredients are as effective as products with 20% DEET in them.

Hahah wow that is the most confusing product statement I have ever read.

Popping by to see what your toddler got in his box. We really liked our Citrus Lane box this month as well. Such a bummer about Stork Stack and I’m happily awaiting Bluum. 🙂

We really loved our box! And decorated the lunchbox today too! I guess we’ve aged out of pouches? That’s ok, E ate 4 gogo squeez today. He cried when I said no to more and I just didn’t have the heart for it today. I’ll pay for it tomorrow.
