I love healthy snack boxes and I was really pleased to be able to review Bestowed box.
Bestowed Box arrives in this cute orange box. I loved the heart logo. I thought it was sweet. One of Heather Bauer’s books is Bread is the Devil. I totally agree! The idea of Bestowed is not to stock your pantry, but to support you in your healthy lifestyle and help you find better choices.
Bestowed Box Review
Inside the box there is a folded information sheet. Bestowed’s information is pretty extensive – they detail what they like about the product, the nutritional benefits, and tips to go along with each item. On the back were lifestyle suggestions – mine focused on weekend travel survival: advice to plan my weekends in advance to stay healthy. Good reminder – I should do more menu planning.
Hail Merry Vanilla Maple Almonds. I love Hail Merry products and this was no exception. The nuts were delicious! They are raw nuts flavored with really delicious vanilla from Madagascar. $2.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts. We have and use these! I use them as “sprinkles” on the kids’ oatmeal. Never thought of using them in a salad, as suggested on the card. I’ll try it! $3.
KIND Dark Chocolate Chili Almond I was so excited to get this in my box. I love spicy chocolate and I’d never had this KIND bar before. It was delicious – I love KIND bars, but I do wish it had been spicier! It was only enough chili to enhance the flavor, not enough to be detectable as spicy. $2.
Matt’s Munchies Mango Fruit Snack. When we opened the package I thought these were totally wild! They’re fruit roll ups. I was expecting something like Nibnaks but I don’t read the packaging or anything before I opened it. It’s always a surprise. The snack was 100% mango puree. I thought that was neat and my kids loved it! $2.
California Olive Ranch Everyday California EVOO. It’s always great to have olive oil. This one is made in California. My best friend stole this sample the last time I got it so I’m looking forward to trying it. $0.60.
Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burgers (Coupon). Instead of an item, I got a coupon for these veggie burgers. I’m pretty sure our local grocery carries them, and I’ve never had them before. I think they’re veggie burgers instead of soy burgers, which is great – that’s the kind I prefer! $4.
I thought this box was a great mix of nutrition-friendly items and I am looking forward to trying out the Veggie Burgers. First time I received veggie burgers in a box!
