Have you ever used Soap.com or Vine.com?

I use Soap.com (and the other sites – I mix & match orders) maybe every other month to fill in items that are hard for me to get without a car.  I’m finalizing my Disney World order (you can ship things right to your hotel!) and thought it would be a good idea to give you a heads up on this family of sites. I have used pretty much all of them in the past, in fact just last week I placed an order for La Roche-Posay Pigment Control, an Easter book, Beauty Blenders, and Back to Nature “Bug” Macaroni & cheese.  At Christmas I ordered my daughter’s bike and Doodle Bear on YoYo.com, several books from BookWorm.com, and I typically use Wag.com to order my dog’s food, too. Actually I use this site more than I thought! They’re affiliated with Amazon so it’s 2 day (sometimes 1 day for me) shipping, and they now have a $35 minimum order for free shipping! I have found sometimes the Amazon prices are much higher for some items, so I do pick and choose where I order.

What I’m ordering for our Disney World Trip

Disney is expensive enough, and so is the food! We aren’t likely to be purchasing breakfast – too expensive and kind of time-wasting for the most part. I decided to order on Vine! I’m getting several kinds of squeeze pouches, crackers & Jif Hazelnut spread, some fun snacks, some Capri Sun, and Mickey Band-aids.  I also am ordering the kids’ toothbrushes so I don’t have to deal with taking them. I hate packing toothbrushes.

My husband is bringing a carry-on, and I am bringing one carry-on and a backpack. I have to take the kids to the airport via the subway so that’s all I can take, and it seems wasteful to pay $50 round trip for the bag, so I’ll be shipping our extra breakfast foods and snacks for free! (I’m using Costco.com to order several flats of water for us too!)

Here’s the first part of my planned order (click for bigger pictures).

These all look like highly portable and kid-friendly items to me! Plus I am ordering our breakfast needs (hubby is bringing some granola bars with him too) for what we would pay for just one breakfast at Disney – with some snacks (and toothbrushes!) thrown in to boot! Try as I might my kids prefer snacky breakfast and this will be a real vacation treat (plus, most everything I’m ordering is natural from Vine.com!)!
